He said to Su Ming,
“Su Ming, we can’t let them keep following us any longer; this is going to cause problems.
I must report to General Vickers and request permission to eliminate the enemy.”
After listening to Kaff’s words, Su Ming’s brow also furrowed in concern.
Just then, he suddenly spotted a teorite zone far to the right and imdiately hatched a plan, opening his mouth to say,
“I have a way, watch !”
“Eh?”
Kaff was taken aback, then followed suit.
At this ti, Matko and his companions continued to explore ahead.
As he carefully observed the starry sky in front of him, looking for anomalies,
suddenly a very small fragnt of teorite flew in from space, hitting his cha squarely.
Boom!
Upon hearing the simulated alert from his cha, Matko’s expression imdiately tightened as he said on the communication channel,
“We’ve got a situation!”
“What’s wrong, Matko!” Qi Qiu and the others promptly asked.
“A teorite hit .”
“Isn’t that a normal occurrence?
Could it be a coincidence?”
“This…
No, sothing’s fishy, this way!”
Matko was uncertain, but just then, he keenly noticed another very small teorite fragnt flying toward him, and once again, it struck his cha directly.
“Good!”
Qi Qiu and the others imdiately followed Matko, changing direction to pursue.
But whenever Matko slowed down slightly, wanting to stop and take a look, another fragnt of teorite would co flying out of nowhere.
Pop~
His cha was hit again.
“Damn it, what the hell is going on?”
Matko grew increasingly angry, continuing to fly in the direction of the teorite attacks.
Before long, they had chased into the teorite zone, going deeper and deeper.
But even after chasing this far, Matko still couldn’t figure out what was throwing the teorites at him; he didn’t even see a ghost shadow.
Suddenly, Matko began to feel uneasy, sensing sothing strange about the situation.
At this mont, Qi Qiu spoke up in the communication channel, uneasily advising,
“Matko, stop pursuing!
I have a bad feeling; it’s like we’re being lured deep into the teorite zone.”
Matko imdiately stopped and said to Qi Qiu,
“Just give up like this?”
“Matko, this is too unusual; for all we know, so special creature has taken an interest in us.
There’s no need to take this risk.”
Qi Qiu tried his best to dissuade Max.
“Alright, we’re pulling out!”
Max’s expression kept changing, but he finally decided to give up decisively.
He led his subordinates out of the teorite zone and headed back to their own ship.
Not long after they left, Su Ming and Kaff appeared at the edge of the teorite zone.
“Done!”
Su Ming said to Kaff with a smile.
“You’re smart, using the eerie phenona to make them retreat without understanding what’s going on.”
Kaff couldn’t help but praise Su Ming.
“Not bad, let’s move on!”
Su Ming replied with a smile.
“Alright!”
Kaff agreed imdiately.
The two then maneuvered their chas and chased after the Emperor.
…
Two days later.
Inside the Emperor’s Central Control Room,
Vickers Major General sat in the command chair, continually checking the Star Map.
At this ti, Colonel Zhou Quan ca over, his expression grave, and reported,
“Major General Vickers, we are about to reach the edge of the Dark Forest.
Are we really going to travel through here?”
“Is there a problem?”
“Isn’t it too risky?
The Dark Forest is highly dangerous, and it’s an area within the Dark Star Empire that is off-limits.”
“Exactly because it is dangerous, we must travel this route.”
“But—”
“There are no ‘buts.’ Send a ssage to all officers at the rank of major and above, telling them to go into combat readiness.”
Vickers directly issued the order.
“Yes.”
Colonel Zhou Quan took a deep breath and acknowledged.
…
In his room aboard the Wind Moving,
Su Ming was sitting at his desk, scrolling through so data on his armband.
At this ti, Little Hui kept trying to get his head close to the armband screen.
“Stop it!”
Su Ming tapped Little Hui’s head lightly, saying with a smile.
Just then, a notification popped up on Su Ming’s armband.
“Urgent notice: Dear Major Su Ming, the Emperor’s fleet is about to enter the Dark Forest Star Sea.
Please imdiately assemble all combat personnel and enter combat readiness.
Please note that this information is to be kept confidential from those below the rank of major.”
After reading it, Su Ming imdiately sent a ssage to Rhein and others, telling them to head to the Emperor’s Hangar to get into their chas and stand by.
After doing this, just as Su Ming stood up to leave, Little Hui hopped onto his shoulder.
“Little Hui, stay at ho; I’m off to work.”
Su Ming said, sowhat surprised.
Little Hui kept shaking his head, insisting on accompanying him.
“Fine then!”
Seeing this, Su Ming also agreed, reasoning that it was just a precaution, not real combat.
Little Hui, pleased that Su Ming had agreed, quickly scurried into his pocket to hide.
…
Not long after, Su Ming arrived at the Emperor’s Hangar.
The entire hangar was bustling with officers running to their chas.
“Su Ming.”
A familiar voice ca from behind.
Su Ming turned his head and saw Shu’en, Kaff, and others coming over together, then he greeted them,
“You’ve arrived.”
“Yeah, did you receive that ssage too?”
Kaff asked in a serious tone.
“Yeah!”
Su Ming nodded slightly in response.
“Don’t you guys feel sothing’s off?”
Kaff asked with furrowed brows.
“Obviously, it’s off.
We’re not being chased, there’s no need to take such a big risk entering the Dark Forest Star Sea.
We could just go around the edge of the Dark Star Sea.”
Curia said in a lowered voice.
“That’s right!
I think so too.
What is General Vickers thinking?”
