Chapter 660: After modification: Chapter 362 Turbulent Undercurrents (5 in 1)_4
“Why do you say you’re unlucky? It’s all about the training out there.”
“So where are we going?”
“I’m not too sure either, seems like we’re going to that Abyss of Descent for frontline service.”
ng Pu was also unsure.
Su Ming frowned upon hearing ng Pu’s words. These guys were heading to the Abyss of Descent for service; weren’t they just cannon fodder?
But he didn’t say anything, just smiled and said.
“Take your ti smoking, I’m heading out first.”
“Alrighty.”
ng Pu replied with a smile.
Su Ming walked straight out of the restroom.
….
As evening approached, Su Ming took a stroll inside the spaceship after finishing his exercise, feeling a bit bored.
Without any surprise, he bumped into Onite again.
“Oh, Su Ming, what a coincidence.”
Su Ming sighed and replied.
“It is quite a coincidence. Do you need sothing?”
“Su Ming, you seem a bit bored.”
“Yes, I am indeed quite bored.”
“I know a good place where you can have so fun.”
Onite said with a cheerful smile.
“Alright.”
Su Ming thought for a mont and replied.
“This way, please!”
Onite led Su Ming away with an ingratiating smile.
A mont later, Su Ming followed Onite to an observation deck area.
This observation deck had been specially modified, featuring a large swimming pool, with lounge chairs beside it and a self-service bar filled with various drinks.
“Su Ming, if you’re bored, you can swim here while enjoying the vast star sea view. If you get tired, you can have a drink and watch so projections. If you still find it boring, I can arrange sothing else for you….”
“Stop, that’s enough! This is fine.”
Su Ming quickly stopped Onite; this guy was getting more and more outrageous.
“Then, please enjoy. I won’t disturb you anymore.”
Onite said considerately.
“Go ahead!”
Su Ming waved his hand and said.
Onite respectfully left imdiately.
Su Ming then took off his clothes, jumped into the pool, and started swimming leisurely.
After a long ti, Su Ming fully relaxed, slightly moving his feet, floating on the pool, clearing his mind.
At this mont, a broadcast suddenly sounded.
“Attention all personnel, we have arrived at the border·Cui Lan Star Defense Line. The spaceship will pause its flight for a border inspection. Please return to your rooms. If selected for inspection, you must comply unconditionally….”
Upon hearing the broadcast, Su Ming turned over in the pool, looking at the outer space, where a stunning scene appeared.
In the vast star sea, there were floating chanical gem-like fortresses, giant sunflower-shaped space-based weapons, and countless fleets and patrol chas, weaving a giant web.
And this was just the tip of the iceberg that Su Ming could see.
Then a small ship approached, docking with the Level 5 Mother Ship Shattered Light.
Groups of inspection officers boarded the ship to verify passing information and check the cargo onboard.
Of course, this had nothing to do with Su Ming. He stayed in the pool, looking at the defensive weapons of the Cui Lan Star Defense Line, silently evaluating.
He felt that the Federation’s defense line might be even more troubleso than the Dark Star Empire’s.
Especially those sunflower-shaped space-based weapons, which gave Su Ming goosebumps. The power of these weapons would not be inferior to the main cannon of the Level 5 Mother Ship.
With so many of them, if they fired simultaneously, even a Star Destroyer might not withstand it.
However, before Su Ming’s thoughts continued, Onite successfully sent away the inspection officers, without letting them check too much.
Soon, the Level 5 Mother Ship Shattered Light set sail again, heading towards the exit of the defense line.
At this mont, Su Ming saw a line like a scroll appear in the distant starry sky, with a giant chanical gate at its center.
The entire chanical gate emitted a special faint glow, like a gate to the hell of death.
All spaceships leaving the border had to pass through this giant chanical gate.
Su Ming rubbed his chin and said sowhat sentintally.
“It seems the Federation is not entirely useless. At least its shell is really tough.”
….
—————————————-
Bright Star Sea·Federation Cosmic Army Headquarters.
Heavy footsteps echoed through the cold corridor.
A burly man, covered in scars, with ssy hair, a stern face, twisted flesh, a red chanical eye embedded in his left eye socket, and chanical prosthetics on his left hand and right foot, dressed in a Grand General uniform, exuding a dangerous aura walked through.
In the corridor, soldiers dressed in Third Generation Exoskeleton Armor saw the man and saluted solemnly.
“General Gabres!”
At this mont, Gabres looked like a wounded beast, ignoring the soldiers along the way, walking towards the end with a face of fury, reaching an office door.
He forcefully pushed open the closed door and stord straight in.
An ancient and spacious office ca into view, about five hundred square ters in size, with cabinets holding folders inside.
At the center of the office was a semicircular desk.
An old man with slightly hunched shoulders, white hair, a wrinkled face, sharp eagle-like eyes, and an authoritative presence was sitting there.
This old man was none other than Commander Alekde, and in front of him stood seven stern-faced generals.
“Gabres, why are you back? And in such a disheveled state?”
Alekde looked at the injured Gabres, asking in surprise.
