"I don’t believe in these folk tales, but I will tell whatever I know about them." Mrs Zhang was very cooperative and pleasant to talk to, and she also has a beautiful face.
At first, they tried to talk with other villagers, but most of them simply didn’t want to appear on the cara. In the end, they finally found Mrs Zhang, who was actually willing to entertain them.
As a pregnant lady living alone in this village, she was doing a lot on her own, from cooking to daily house chores, despite all that, her skin was soft and tender, like that of online models.
"It’s an old story, I might not know all the exact details, but I will tell you whatever I know," Mrs said, looking at Xiao’s excited face.
"That witch’s na was Mo Yao. She ca into this village from outside. At that ti, none of the villagers had ever ventured outside, always staying hidden within the mountain and forest."
"Mo Yao ca with a lot of knowledge about the outside world. She wanted to learn about herbal dicine from our village. At that ti, the entire village was against her, but sohow, she convinced the village chief to let her stay in her."
Mrs Zhang glanced at Wang Ping, who was holding the cara, and sweetly smiled at him and continued, "Though she still didn’t have permission to learn their dical knowledge. The ti passed, and she began to beco a part of our village, helping everyone around her."
"Soon, she beca the entire village’s esteed guest. She had always been the crush of young villagers because of her otherworldly beauty. When the elder began to consider her an esteed guest, these young n had nothing holding them back. People say that every single man in the village asked her to marry them. Everyone wanted to marry her, even so elders and married n wanted to marry her." Mrs Zhang’s voice was getting a little fascinating as she continued.
"But soon, the village chief announced his marriage to Mo Yao, killing everyone’s dream of becoming her husband. No one was happy with the village chiefs’ decisions. So of the young n even challenged him to a duel. At the end, she married the chief."
"After that, everything in the village began to change. Our prospering village began to get into constant internal strife. There were constant cases of people killing each other and doing hideous things to won."
Xiao was completely hooked on this story, listening with a mic in hand.
"As it felt like everything was about to end, the old chief finally stepped forward and made a decision that no one wanted to follow."
"He called out Mo Yao for being an enchantress demon. But it was already too late; no one wanted to believe that Mo Yao had any fault in it. To them, things were turning out like this because these won in the village are jealous of Mo Yao’s beauty, which is why they are influencing their n to do all these evil deeds."
"What! Isn’t it way too absurd?" Wang Ping couldn’t control himself from diving in. The villagers’ reasoning didn’t make sense at all. Why would a lady want her n to do all those evil deeds with other won? Even if they want to do that because of jealousy, they should influence their n to target Mo Yao.
"Shut Up! Stop disturbing the flow," Xiao paused the audio recording and gave him a look before turning back to Mrs Zhang, signalling her to continue.
"You sure are dedicated to your work, young lady," Mrs Zhang smiled sweetly at Xiao, patting her head gently, she added while rubbing her belly, "I’m hoping for a cute little princess like you."
"When the elders made this announcent, all villagers quickly agreed in unison. They didn’t even have the basic humanity left in them. They threw every single lady into the prison except for their goddess, Mo Yao."
"When that happened, the old chief didn’t say anything and simply walked out of the village. Leaving it in Mo Yao’s hand. In less than 3 months, the entire village turned into a land of the dead; n here were like zombies, without corpses growing in the field."
"Then three months later, the old chief returned with a young man to save the village. There is not much detail about where that young man ca from; we just know he was from the outside world."
"They together freed the entire village from Mo Yao’s curse. But according to villagers, the old chief and that man had co very late, and Mo Yao had already turned into an immortal witch. She couldn’t be killed."
"Sister Zhang, then how did they free the village from her grasp, if she had already turned into an immortal witch?" Xiao asked her, shining like a gem.
"They say, Mo Yao was unkillable, for mortals, not for immortals. That young man and the old chief perform a ritual begging for help from the moon goddess. And she sent her true avatar to help us out."
"Moon goddess avatar helped them in sealing that witch. According to legends, she buried the witch’s body in the west and placed an oak over her body. The moon goddess allowed that hungry witch to have a al, only under her light."
"That was one of the most famous legends of our village, you know, when I was young, I was really fascinated by this tale. So of the village elders still take everything as reality, so I too went to explore these secrets of that oak tree. Sadly, in the dayti, there was nothing special about it, except for its age. And... at nightti, I am afraid of darkness." Mrs Zhang said with a little embarrassed smile.
She was genuinely afraid of the darkness, which is why her house was the only one with an inverter in the entire village. Though most of the electricity in the village is generated by solar panels, and for the night there is a windmill. An inverter in the village is still a luxury.
