Open with the teor falling towards earth. Loud wind and the trail behind it and it hits the ground. BOOM!
Saku feels the shaking of the ground and wakes up. Friend shoots up and perks his ears.
SAKU(tired): "What the hell?"
Then a snowflake lands on his nose.
SAKU: "Double what the hell? Snow? In the middle of the sumr? Co on Friend, I’m getting a bad feeling about sothing."
He wipes his nose and gets up. He looks at his leg.
SAKU: "A little sore but nothing I can’t handle."
He leaves the bushes and Friend follows. They head towards the right. Saku’s stomach growls and he holds it.
SAKU: "Soo hungry. Co on Friend we need to find food and then we can find shelter. Even though it’s snowing the temperature is still warm."
They head out of the park and at the entrance of the park a holess man is sleeping under a cardboard box with one side cut out and an old blanket. Saku gets sad.
SAKU(whispering to Friend): "He doesn’t feel the snow yet...This guy is always here. And nobody helps him. If I wasn’t in his sa position. I’d help him."
They approach a bakery across the street with display cakes and other goods. Saku presses his face against the glass. He starts to think
SAKU: "Maybe if I break it quick enough I can grab enough for-"
He looks at Friend. Then he looks at the cakes.
SAKU: "Maybe I shouldn’t. The last thing I had was sweets. I need sothing else. Co on buddy."
Friend barks. They go into an alleyway to behind the bakery. Saku looks around and spots a dumpster against the back wall. He gets excited and runs towards the dumpster.
SAKU: "Jackpot!"
He opens the dumpster and leans in. Friend playfully chases its tail. Saku cheers, cos out of the dumpster, and holds a plastic bag.
SAKU:: "And in record ti. Look buddy! The Asian restaurant next door left you chicken bones."
He holds up a cardboard take out container. Friend barks and Saku throws him a bone. The dog catches it and lays down. Saku sits and is impressed.
SAKU: "Wow. For a dog with one eye your depth perception is amazing."
He opens his plastic bag and fresh bread is inside. Saku gets really excited. He grabs one loaf and starts to eat.
SAKU: "Sweet bread! I can’t believe soone would throw out..."
Saku stops eating and swallows. He puts his head down and his aggression is shown.
SAKU: "I can’t believe soone would throw out perfectly good bread when there is a man dying not even 100 feet from them."
Saku gets up and turns the corner but when he does he sees a man with his back turned, in a military uniform waiting at the bus stop. Then another one joins him. Saku turns back around the corner and peeks over.
SAKU: "So they got the military involved with a weather situation? Who knows maybe there’s a weather controlling device. Humans fighting and killings humans like always."
He looks at Friend. Its licked the bone clean and is no longer eating it.
SAKU: "I guess this is a better ti than any."
He pulls out his brown bag and grabs what he was previously smoking and a lighter. He lights the end and the cherry gets brighter.
SAKU:(Smoke coming out): " I hope you don’t mind being my smoking buddy."
He exhales. As he watches the smoke it flies by a bank clock 2:34 is shown.
SAKU: "Well Happy Birthday to I guess. Fifteen, holess, eating dumpster bread and already smoking. Ya know Buddy, (inhales).. I wish I could be powerful enough to make humans cooperate. (exhales) I would make sure we would all get along. No fighting, no killing, no distrust and if anybody tried to hurt humanity they would get true justice. I would be a true and righteous God."
He clenches his fist in the air and Friend tilts his head while looking at him. Saku notices and laughs.
SAKU: "HAHA you’re probably like ’What the hell is wrong with him?’. Sotis I wonder the sa thing."
A bus is heard releasing air breaks. Saku looks around the corner again and sees the two n get on the bus. He puts out what he was smoking and puts it in the bag. He puts the bag in his pocket then watches the bus drive away. He grabs the food and gets up.
SAKU: "Co on Friend."
Friend gets up and follows him down the alley. Halfway down a silhouette figure is seen running. Saku quickly hugs the wall to hide. Another figure is seen following but staying unnoticed.
SAKU(talking to Friend/himself): "What the hell? Was that a soldier? No, it was too small to be soone in the military. Co on Friend. Let’s make sure nothing fishy goes down."
He starts to run towards the park, bag of bread in hand. He stops right before the entrance and looks to the left.
From the park gate, Saku runs nto the park and into the distance.
SAKU: "Co on buddy!
Friend barks and follows.
The cara slides towards the left and the full bag of bread is lying next to the sleeping holess man.
