Captain’s Office
Sheng Ning knew that there would definitely be a lot of people from the Hai and Shen families coming over today, so she went out early to Xu Qigang’s office to pass the ti.
She was just an outsider to these two families, so there was no need to get involved.
Both mom and An’an are smart; she no longer needed to worry.
Xu Qigang took people to the mountains for field training, and she was really bored, so she went out for a stroll. She turned to the logistics departnt and found several married ladies each holding a copy of One Weekly.
The ladies were flustered when they saw her, as she was the captain’s wife and held a higher position than them. But she was too young, and they seed unsure how to address her.
"You all carry on, carry on." Sheng Ning also found it quite awkward, smiled, and turned to leave.
After she walked away, a chubby lady curiously asked, "Do you think the captain’s wife is pregnant?"
The others turned to look at Sheng Ning’s back. Whether a woman is pregnant can actually be seen from the way she walks and her waistline. The ladies had all been married and had children before.
At this mont, after a glance, they couldn’t help but nod.
"From this look, I reckon she’s probably pregnant."
"I think so too."
"Our captain is already thirty; others his age already have kids running around. He should have a child."
The chubby lady said, "This would be such great news! How co we haven’t heard about it?"
"Shh! We shouldn’t spread unconfird things; what if it’s not true? That would just get the captain and everyone excited for nothing."
"True! We can’t be sure just by looking."
Sheng Ning left the logistics departnt, completely unaware of the gossip behind her. She exited the logistics departnt and right next to the Family Compound was the school, ant for the children of the family mbers.
There were only a kindergarten and an elentary school, not very large, with three substitute teachers. She heard all this from Xing Fang.
The weather at the end of May was pleasant, and Sheng Ning was standing outside the school, looking in, when she was suddenly wrapped in a hug.
"What are you looking at?" The man’s deep voice was even more intoxicating than the fresh air.
"I’m looking at what our future kids would be like." Sheng Ning replied with a smile, resting her head willingly against Xu Qigang’s chest, "Aren’t you afraid of being seen hugging like this?"
Xu Qigang’s handso face showed a trace of unease, "Nobody can see us here!" he whispered, and after speaking, snuck a kiss.
Indeed, to avoid interrupting the students’ regular classes, she chose a corner. Leaning against the wall, with an acacia tree to the left, and right ahead was the school’s fence.
"Soone will be sleeping in the dorm tonight." Sheng Ning was gleeful, glad she didn’t have to struggle with aches or stay put in bed.
Xu Qigang’s handso face darkened, leaning close to her ear, "Just you wait. I’ll take back all these lost chances, double the amount."
"... Darling, I’m sorry."
"Don’t call darling." He released her waist, helplessly held his forehead, "In the future, call only in bed, not anyti else." Didn’t she know? Whenever she called him darling, he couldn’t control himself.
"Hahaha..." Sheng Ning laughed triumphantly, "Are you off work now?"
"No! I heard you were heading this way, so I snuck out to check on you." This was the first ti the team captain led the sneak, and he was kind of embarrassed.
"Let’s go take a walk."
