"It’s okay, don’t be sad." She had co to terms with it; facing life and death, soone who has died should have a broader perspective. Since there is rebirth, then there should be new life. She hoped her grandfather’s new life would bring more happiness.
"Alright!" An’an nodded, patting Sheng Ning’s shoulder like an old man and then gave up her spot for the next person. Once she reached the side, she realized the next person wasn’t Feng Xiaoli, but Su Yun with a darkened face.
Feng Xiaoli clutched a bouquet, looking pitifully at her, "My spot was taken." Earlier, she had been roughly pushed aside, almost stumbling to the ground. Because they were in the funeral hall, she didn’t dare make a sound, fearing it would be impolite, so she had to endure it.
"Why is she here?" Chen Huaying whispered.
An’an speculated, "Su Yun is Grandpa Su’s daughter, so it makes sense for her to send Grandpa Su off for the last ti."
"That’s right!"
"She’s simply too much." Feng Xiaoli used to admire Su Yun greatly; she lived at National Security University and would often sneak into Qianjin Dance Troupe to watch training and performances. So she particularly revered Su Yun, who was the troupe leader.
She managed such a large song and dance troupe; was of good temperant, and capable. How could people not admire her?
But ever since she learned that Su Yun had angered Senior Leader Su to death, she plunged into feelings of self-recrimination, feeling particularly embarrassed about her previous admiration.
An’an slowly added, "I’m curious, what kind of mindset does she have coming here?"
"Who knows?"
Feng Xiaoli was startled and covered Chen Huaying’s mouth, whispering, "Don’t ntion ghosts in the funeral hall."
"It’s been a long ti since the eradication of pests and old superstitions, so why are you still so superstitious? We should believe in science. Be idealistic, not materialistic..."
"Stop talking!" An’an interrupted, as she was staring at Su Yun intently.
"Okay."
"Oh!"
Su Yun suddenly knelt on the ground, heavily kowtowing three tis, "Dad, I have co to see you."
Sheng Ning, Su Huai’an angrily looked over; if it weren’t for Mr. Su’s forgiving words ringing in her ears, she would have driven Su Yun out right away.
The people in the funeral hall couldn’t help but look over curiously, and soone quick-witted ran outside to find Su Hai or Xu Qigang.
Everyone’s hostile gaze fell on Su Yun like steel knives, making her feel unbearably uncomfortable. She was clearly the victim, yet everyone was blind.
"Dad, I am your daughter, your biological daughter." Su Yun crawled forward on her knees, inching her way to the front, "Dad, I’ve co to see you. I’m here today to avenge you."
"I think she’s gone mad?" soone couldn’t help saying.
"If you want revenge, just stab yourself."
Su Yun abruptly looked up, her gaze suddenly changing as she looked at the benevolent smiling portrait of Mr. Su, pulling a fruit knife from her sleeve, and thrusting it towards Sheng Ning.
The distance between the two was too close; Su Yun was right between Sheng Ning and Su Huai’an. At the critical mont, Su Huai’an indeed couldn’t stop it in ti. Everyone was stunned, shocked and unable to react to the sudden change.
"Xiao Ning." Just as Xu Qigang walked into the funeral hall, he let out a beast-like cry of pain. He rushed desperately but was still a step too late. Just a step away, he watched helplessly as Su Yun’s knife stabbed into Sheng Ning’s chest.
