Thinking back, it was really bold. The minister probably wants to execute them both by now.
"No way, Li Xia is most likely heading back to the Southern Border from here." An’an’s little face was sun-kissed and rosy, but she felt more and more uncertain. Having grown up in the Northern region, she’d never even gone down to a river. Now standing on a small boat at the port, she was feeling dizzy and lightheaded.
"Let be clear! If we can’t find Sheng Ning here, then we should head back. It’s really too dangerous for us to just run out like this." Chen Huaying was also on edge. Being fearless was one thing, but the way things were, she absolutely couldn’t create more trouble for her brother and Captain Xu.

"With so many boats, which one could be Li Xia’s?" An’an wondered aloud as she thought.
"I don’t know!" Chen Huaying truthfully shook her head. "If we knew, we wouldn’t be squatting on this rickety boat."
Their abilities were limited. Even though they suspected one of these was Li Xia’s boat, they couldn’t search each one. Asking for police help wasn’t realistic either, as it would only alert the target.
An’an squinted and looked around, her gaze sweeping over the port entrance. Suddenly, as she saw a post on the two sides when stepping onto the floating bridge, her eyes lit up. She couldn’t find Li Xia, but she could leave sothing for her sister.
An’an stood up excitedly from the little boat, and because of her sudden movent, the boat began to wobble, nearly knocking Chen Huaying off balance.
The two clung tightly to each other, too scared to move. After waiting several minutes for the swaying to stop, they awkwardly inched to the edge. Only when their feet touched solid ground did they finally feel relieved.
By this ti, twilight had fallen, and fishing lamps lit up on the dock. An’an dragged Chen Huaying to the post and took out a dagger to lightly carve a cross into the table. Then she slashed the post with the blade from top to bottom, making it look like it had been hacked at randomly.

Chen Huaying stumbled at that, almost losing her balance. Rescuing Sheng Ning was urgent; she couldn’t afford to bicker with her now.
"Take a look at this," Xu Qigang handed a banknote to Chen Yingjie, explaining, "This stamp on the money is from One Weekly’s editor, Xu Mo. I heard Xu Mo was captured under the guise of being ng Ping, and he should be locked up with Xiao Ning now."
"This money was used by Li Xia and her group along the way, heading east in this direction."
"Looks like Li Xia’s planning to flee by sea, quite the clever sche." Qin Yue laughed coldly as he peered ahead with the telescope, "She isn’t afraid of anything going wrong at sea, is she?"
