Chapter 125: Chapter 125 Setting Up and Framing

“Who did this?” Sheng Ning’s eyes narrowed alertly, sharpness gleaming in her gaze as she looked at the others—a stark contrast to her deanor when she had just returned.

“I don’t know!” Wu Youli shook her head.

“Attention!” Having finished inspecting the interior, the inspector stepped out, stood in front of everyone, and bellowed loudly.

The whole group stood at attention, chests out and heads held high.

“The following people, whose interior conditions were not up to standard, stay back. The rest are dismissed! Chen Huaying, Sheng Ning, Wu Youli, Zhang Hongi, Liu Yilan.”

A crowd scattered quickly, and in less than a minute, only five people remained standing in the yard, looking at each other. Wu Youli blinked her large eyes, looking pitiful, while Zhang Hongi seed utterly flustered, clearly frightened.

...

Ever since joining the union, she had always been diligent and hardworking, setting an example, and this was the first ti she had been called out to stay behind!

Chen Huaying had been a Demon Lord of Mayhem since childhood, having gotten into all sorts of mischief, with a slick veteran’s deanor.

Liu Yilan, naturally proud, stood straight without so much as moving an eyebrow.

Although Sheng Ning was standing still, her whole body radiated an icy coldness. Her hand at her side was clenched tightly into a fist, her red lips pressed firmly together.

She knew well how she maintained her space. As for the others, Chen Huaying, who hailed from the large courtyard, though rebellious, definitely possessed total quality—interior conditions were the most basic matters; how could they be severely substandard?

Clearly, this incident was a case of soone being frad and sabotaged.

She could guess who it was without even thinking.

As the others dispersed, Dai Bin hurried over with several instructors. The group straightened up even more at their arrival.

Chen Huaying, who usually had a carefree air, lowered his head like a mouse encountering a cat upon seeing the people beside Dai Bin.

Dai Bin glanced at Chen Yingjie beside him and, seeing that he had no intention of speaking, braced himself to step forward.

“Ahem…” He cleared his throat, his voice full of fury as he said, “Have you all been out playing?”

None dared to answer.

Dai Bin called out, “Zhang Hongi, tell , what were you all doing?”

“Reporting, sir, we went to town to send letters,” Zhang Hongi, timid and honest, promptly replied.

“You dare to go into town when your interior conditions are such a ss? As a female comrade, you can’t even maintain basic cleanliness; it’s utterly disgraceful.”

“Reporting, instructor,” Sheng Ning stepped forward to greet him.

Dai Bin didn’t dare to look at Sheng Ning and said without shifting his gaze, “Speak!”

“May I ask what’s wrong with our interior conditions?”

“The interior conditions are severely substandard, items are scattered all over, and the blankets are not folded. Isn’t that bad enough?” Dai Bin scoffed, “I’ve seen plenty of poorly folded bedding, but only you few are bold enough not to fold at all. I’ve really seen what being disgraceful ans. If you were under my command, you’d have been kicked out long ago.”

Dai Bin’s words were extrely harsh, to the point that Wu Youli’s tears began to fall, and Zhang Hongi nearly passed out.

“Reporting, there must be soone framing us. Everything was folded perfectly when we left,” Sheng Ning insisted loudly, barely containing her anger.

Although the drill ground had emptied, many still gathered nearby to spectate. So who always found Sheng Ning displeasing gathered in small groups, taking delight in the misfortune they were witnessing.

“You…” Dai Bin had prepared even harsher words, but his speech faltered as he t Sheng Ning’s defiant gaze head-on. He stumbled over his words—it was the future elder sister-in-law, after all. If he was too harsh with his punishnt, would the Captain deal with him later?
