"Why? Why don’t you agree?" Lin En was anxious, his little legs flailing in the air. "I want to marry the little sister, I just have to marry the little sister. When she grows up, she’s definitely going to be my wife."
"No way."
"You’re a bad person. Don’t even think about taking the little sister away. The little sister is my wife, and nobody can take her."
"Let tell you, my daughter will never marry you." Xu Qigang said earnestly. It’s often said that a daughter was a father’s lover in a past life, and it couldn’t be more true. Just the thought of Xiao Ning’s daughter marrying another man made him boil with anger.
The daughter hadn’t even co into the world, yet he felt he must drive away her future suitor.
"The little sister is my wife. Why are you breaking us up?" Lin En cried bitterly, "Is it because I have no money? But when I grow up, I’ll work hard to earn a lot of money, and then you won’t dislike anymore, right?"
Xu Qigang paused, "I just don’t want my daughter to marry you. Does it have anything to do with whether you have money?"
"Of course! Grandma said you must earn lots and lots of money to give your wife a better life so she won’t have to struggle so much."
"Hmm! You’re very right—wise beyond your years." Xu Qigang seed to find his rival more agreeable now.
Sheng Ning couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy and urged Xu Qigang to let Lin En down, "He’s just a child, why bully him?"
Lin En’s feet touched the ground. He quickly scurried behind Sheng Ning to hide, poking his head out to sneak a glance at Xu Qigang.
"He’s trying to take my daughter, I can’t give him a piece of my mind."
For the first ti, Xu Qigang spoke to Sheng Ning in such a tone showing he truly disliked the future son-in-law. Just then, An’an and Gu Yunbo each ca out carrying one.
Xu Qigang took one look and went straight to An’an, looking at the little sister she cradled with complete excitent. You couldn’t imagine a man nearly six foot three being so flustered in front of a tiny baby.
He looked at the little sister with eyes filled with joy.
"Brother-in-law, give her a hug." An’an said, "The little sister is really good, exceptionally, exceptionally cute."
Xu Qigang glanced back at Sheng Ning and asked hesitantly, "Xiao Ning, can I really hold her?"
"Of course!" Sheng Ning encouraged him, "Doesn’t Dad want to hold his daughter?"
"I do." Xu Qigang grinned sheepishly and carefully lifted his daughter into his arms. Looking at his awkward manner, Sheng Ning couldn’t help but smile.
Aunt Feng ca downstairs too and, seeing Xu Qigang’s movents, stepped forward to teach him how to hold a child. He learned quickly, grasping the technique in no ti.
The little sister was lifted high by him, giggling with a bell-like laughter.
"Pick a na for the child! She doesn’t have a first na yet!"
Xu Qigang pondered for a mont, looked at the little sister’s smiling face, and said happily, "How about Xu Huaxin?"
Sheng Ning’s eyes lit up, "That’s a great na, let’s call her Xu Huaxin."
Everyone liked it upon hearing it and couldn’t help but tease the little sister.
"The little sister will be called Xu Huaxin from now on. Do you like this na?"
"You’ll surely like it, right? It’s from Dad himself!"
Gu Yunbo stood aside holding the little brother, almost being left out. The little brother looked at everything around foolishly, blinking his big black bright eyes and happily nibbling on his finger.
