Chapter 173: Chapter 174: Doing Push-Ups
“You say those few really know how to stir up trouble.”
“It’s not the first ti, is it? They have really tarnished the reputation of our General Union Dance Troupe.”
Others were watching, their disdain growing as they watched.
“Shut up! Do you want to end up like them? There’s still training tomorrow. If you’re not too tired, go to the yard and do push-ups.”
“Captain, we don’t have that kind of courage.”
“Then go to sleep.” Lu Xiaoshuang snorted and authoritative turned off the lights.
The punishnt in the yard was still ongoing; push-ups are actually more suitable for n to practice. Given won’s innate physical conditions, push-ups are more difficult.
Not even reaching a hundred, so people were already exhausted, collapsing on the ground unable to move.
Sheng Ning’s forehead was covered with a layer of fine sweat, her push-ups were very standard. After dozens, she remained the most poised of them all, and the others’ gazes shifted from initial rejection to eventual admiration.
Through the ti they had spent together, Sheng Ning had proven with her strength that she was no fool. Nor was she the kind of shaless woman prone to hooking up.
On the contrary, the ever-kind and gentle Qin Cuifen, who was usually sensible, was the one who had overturned everyone’s impressions.
Liu Yilan actually didn’t live in their dormitory; she had co over tonight for fun and ended up caught in this unwarranted disaster.
She grumbled while doing push-ups, “Why am I so unlucky? Sheng Ning, you owe us a favor.”
Sheng Ning pretended not to hear, silently counting which number she had reached.
Liu Yilan, seeing that Sheng Ning was ignoring her, continued, “Why aren’t you talking? I’ve found you to be a very deep person.” Liu Yilan had been observing Sheng Ning ever since they had worked together in the cafeteria. The more she observed, the more interesting and intelligent she found Sheng Ning to be. It was no wonder she had earned Chen Huaying’s friendship.
She was even a little envious of Chen Huaying standing up for Sheng Ning tonight.
“How could you say that about Sheng Ning, Liu Yilan? What has she done to offend you?” Wu Youli was right next to her, and even though she was nearly on the verge of fainting from exhaustion, she hastily jumped to Sheng Ning’s defense.
“Oh! My bad!” Liu Yilan sighed, annoyed, “Here cos another one. Have you been bewitched by her? I rember you never used to talk to her.”
“That’s not it!” Wu Youli’s face turned even redder, whether from exhaustion or from Liu Yilan’s words. “Sheng Ning and I are good friends, friends for life.” From the mont Sheng Ning stood up for her and exposed Zhao Feifei’s true colors, she had silently sworn to herself that she would owe Sheng Ning a favor for life.
Sheng Ning gave Wu Youli a surprised look, then a relieved smile appeared on her lips. Was this not a case of ‘an unintended interjection begets an unintended shade’?
She had wanted to beco good friends with Zhang Hongi, but at the first sign of trouble, Hongi had imdiately distanced herself. She was just standing up for the Wu Youli of her past life, not expecting to earn her genuine gratitude.
Fate was truly strange, just like how she beca friends with Chen Huaying in this life. There was no need to think it over; they understood each other inherently.
“Everyone in this dormitory is not normal,” Liu Yilan finally concluded. After speaking, she pushed herself off the ground and stood up.
Her movent coincided with Sheng Ning’s, and the others were shocked as they watched them both. Their eyes held bewildernt, surprise, and admiration.
“You two are finished; you can go back to sleep,” said the supervising coach Dai Bin, pointing out the reason they had stood up.
“Thank you, Coach!”
“Thank you, Coach!” The two answered in unison, with Liu Yilan not looking back as she headed to her own dormitory.
