Sheng Ning was carried back to her dormitory by Xu Qigang, where she slept groggily until she started to run a high fever in the middle of the night. Xu Qigang stayed by her bed the whole ti, feeding her fever-reducing pills and continually applying wet towels to bring down her temperature until she woke up and regained consciousness at dawn.
“Living Yama, what are you doing here?” Sheng Ning, feeling aches all over her body, attempted to sit up but was pulled into Xu Qigang’s embrace.
His embrace was wide and warm, and very reassuring.
Sheng Ning buried her head in his chest, greedily drawing in his scent.
“This is my dormitory, I carried you here.”
