"Don’t talk anymore, or we won’t even have underwear left to wear." Chen Yingjie, who had been silent, kindly reminded everyone. His clothes changed as well, wearing a thin layer and bearing sandbags on his arms and legs.

The Captain was indeed capable of doing this. Han Yongchun and Chen Baoshan, utterly dejected, took off their clothes and strapped on sandbags.
