“Don’t say another word!” Hai Shuangjie, seeing his elder brother’s displeased expression, yelled at his daughter, “If you don’t go, then you might as well be dead.”
“Dad, if I leave, who will keep Grandpa company? Who will make him happy?”
Hai Shuangjie’s expression softened and he wanted to plead for his daughter, but Hai Yunfeng said, “Your cousin has just been transferred to the Main Hospital for her internship. With her here, you don’t have to worry.”

“Don’t talk like that, Mom. Calling soone an illegitimate child is unpleasant!” Chen Huaying was not pleased. “Sheng Ning is my best friend, so don’t you go spreading rumors about her.”
“I didn’t an it that way,” Mrs. Chen, good-tempered, explained. “I just feel that such a smart and beautiful girl has such an unreliable mother. It’s a pity for her.” It was clear that Su Yun was not well-liked. And yet, she was oblivious, looking down on those of lower status than herself.
“By the way, Yingjie, did you invite your Captain to our ho?” Mr. Chen asked with concern.
“I invited him, but the Captain didn’t have ti.” Chen Yingjie had been granted a three-day leave and had specifically gone to the group to find the Captain before coming ho. Yet as soon as he brought it up, he was nearly mobbed by the others.
All the squad leaders and team leaders were jealous that he got to go with the Captain on the mission to country S. Everyone was eyeing him with ill will, so he had to keep a low profile.
“How do you handle things, you brat? Didn’t I tell you what to do?” Mr. Chen raised his hand and slapped his son, demonstrating the correct way to show he wasn’t his own flesh and blood.
“There are plenty of people who want to invite our Captain. You think he’ll co just because you ask?” He was returning to the group tomorrow anyway. He’d just go to the Captain’s house to freeload. If he doesn’t co ho, then so be it! He didn’t care one bit.
