"Fine!" ng Xingzhi sighed, he wasn’t here to quarrel, and quarreling wouldn’t solve any problems. "I’ll peel an apple for you." As he said this, he reached for an apple from the fruit basket on the floor and went to find a knife, but ng Ping snatched it away.
"You’re not touching my apple."
"..." ng Xingzhi was utterly baffled. Had his authority as Chairman ng beco so insignificant?
ng Ping didn’t care how displeased his father looked and got out of bed to move the fruit to his own bedside table, eyeing it closely and not letting anyone else touch it.
ng Xingzhi guessed that the apple was probably bought by Sheng Ning, which was why his son treasured it like the apple of his eye.

"I heard you had Shen Feihu arrest Shen Yu today?"
"Yep!" ng Xingzhi’s right hand was on the bedside tea table, tapping away. The relaxed him looked a decade older than usual.
"When can you be discharged?"
"What for? I can leave anyti the doctor agrees." ng Ping had had enough of the hospital stay, with doctors constantly nagging in his ear and nurses always hovering around him unnervingly.
ng Xingzhi’s gaze flicked over the nurous bruises from IV needles on his son’s arm. "Son," he said earnestly, "for the sake of our family, can you stop being stubborn in the future?"
ng Ping looked down in silence, and after a long pause, he muttered, "I know, don’t worry about ."
"Good! Once you’re discharged, we’ll visit your brother. We haven’t seen him together since there’s been so much to do over the New Year."
"Okay! I’ll go as soon as I’m out."

In the hospital ergency room, Chen Huaying was screaming her lungs out. She had never been afraid of anything since she was young, except for injections. The nurse hadn’t even co close with the needle before being pushed away by her.
The young nurse’s face was flushed red, looking at Chen Huaying with tear-filled eyes.
"Comrade, you must get a tetanus shot for your wound. What if it gets infected?"
"I won’t get the shot, I won’t," Chen Huaying insisted, clutching a stool, preventing anyone from getting close. The wound on her head near the hairline had been cleaned but not yet stitched. She turned the entire ergency room into complete chaos, and several doctors had already failed to manage the situation.
Even the little fat man’s coaxing was to no avail.
Sheng Ning was not feeling well to begin with because of her period, and Su Yun had just made it worse; her scalp was still throbbing. With hardly any energy left to comfort Chen Huaying, she simply told the doctor, "Have soone hold her down. The tetanus shot is mandatory, and the head wound has to be stitched."
"No!" Chen Huaying scread at the top of her lungs, "I don’t want the shot; I don’t want to be stitched."
"That’s not an option," Sheng Ning firmly rebuffed, "You need at least two stitches on your head or it’ll heal slowly and might get infected, leaving a scar."
"Will stitching leave no scar?"
"The scar will be less pronounced."
"Ah ah ah..."
"Stop yelling!" Sheng Ning, her head aching from the commotion, chided, "You’ve completely overturned my worldview today. Are you still Mr. Chen? Going to National Security University with such behavior wouldn’t bring you sha."
"So this comrade is from National Security University?" The doctor, upon hearing that the patient was a student from National Security University, gave her due respect, surprised that soone so young could be a student there.
