"An’an, give a hand." Sheng Ning ca out of the kitchen carrying a clay pot, "Help take this pot of soup to Grandpa Hai’s house at the front." The whole family was full of elders, so Sheng Ning didn’t dare to order them around. Just in ti, An’an had nothing to do, so she entrusted this arduous task to her.
"Okay!" An’an jumped up from the floor.
"Wait a mont, I’ll pack it in a bag for you, so it’s easier to carry." Usually, when she cooked, she habitually made more, delivering a portion to both Old Master Chen and Grandpa Hai.
"Assorted mushroom soup, perfect for the elderly. You help handle the front, I’ll go to the back. Co back after you’re done; it’s ti to eat."
"Okay!"
The two sisters packed everything, each carrying a portion and heading to their destinations.
The Hai Family was located at the left front of the Su Family, with a two-story building and a large courtyard, making it very noticeable in the entire courtyard. Following Sheng Ning’s instructions, An’an walked over, feeling increasingly uneasy the closer she got, wishing she could quickly set the stuff down and run back.
"Stop!" A sharp voice rang out from behind her. An’an turned around to see a woman looking at her with imposing arrogance. Her innate stubbornness made her straighten her back and keep walking.
"Didn’t you hear telling you to stop?" Hai Lan, carrying a service bag with a nacing aura, charged forward to block An’an’s path.
"What are you doing here? Don’t you know you can’t just co into the courtyard casually?"
"And who are you? Why should you interfere with ?" An’an glared at Hai Lan discontentedly. "A good dog doesn’t block the road, get out of the way."
Hai Lan didn’t expect her to speak like that, "Where did this wild girl co from? Is this a place you can just co to?" Since Sheng Ning appeared in the courtyard, coming and going as she pleased, Hai Lan beca extrely alert to strangers.
"I think you’re the one who popped up out of nowhere?" An’an hated it when people looked down on others. She looked Hai Lan up and down disdainfully and said, "Look at you, carrying a big bag, hair all ssy, and looking all dusty. Clearly, you just ca from the outside, no?"
"Ah ah ah..." Hai Lan was maddened. She was assigned to so hellish border defense group place, where it was always minus thirty degrees, and not a soul could be seen within a hundred miles. If she hadn’t gone through all kinds of trouble to get half a month off, she wouldn’t have been able to co back!
Look at how miserably she had been made to suffer. Even though she was the daughter of the wealthy Hai Family, yet a country bumpkin was mocking her as soone from outside. Humph! She couldn’t swallow this anger.
All because of that bitch Sheng Ning—just wait! Hai Lan was determined to make her pay blood for blood.
"Xiao Luo!" Hai Lan shouted, and a comrade on duty hurried over. Upon seeing Hai Lan, he was montarily stunned, almost not recognizing her.
"What are you looking at?" In her current disheveled state, it was more unbearable than being killed.
"Hello, Comrade Hai Lan," he quickly greeted her, "What’s the matter?"
Hai Lan pointed sharply, "How can you let such riffraff in? Get her out, get her out imdiately."
The young comrade looked at An’an, puzzled, "I didn’t let her in!" The General Union Courtyard had strict security, comparable to the most classified places. Visitors entering needed to register and be vetted.
Unless there were two exceptions: a leader personally drove them in, or they sneaked in secretly.
The little girl in front of him was indeed a stranger, and judging by the looks of it, wasn’t part of the system. The possibility of sneaking in was high.
"How did you get in? Tell the truth," the young comrade held up his weapon towards An’an, his face turning pale and his voice changing.
