“Let go.” Sheng Ning struggled as she saw her in-laws coming in.
“No, I won’t.”

“I’ll wash my face and call mom and dad in.” Sheng Ning ran into the bathroom with a flushed face.
First, she washed her face with cold water, looked at her flushed cheeks in the mirror, and then cooled them with a wet towel for a while. She only ca out when she was sure it was not noticeable.
Xu Qigang was resting with his eyes closed, the blanket casually covering his body, his high nose bridge, and his deeply contoured, three-dinsional features looked good no matter how you viewed them.

For convenience, she even bought a casserole dish.
Nowadays, authentic old hen soups are truly rare. Later on, wanting to drink genuine old hen soup would be as difficult as reaching the skies. Plus, with all the additives like MSG and chicken essence, it’s not healthy at all.
After eating, she sent them back to the guesthouse, and it was already past nine when she returned to the hospital room.
As she opened the door to the hospital room, Xu Qigang was looking at her intensely.
“Don’t look at like that.” It felt as though she wasn’t wearing any clothes in front of him.
Xu Qigang said nothing, his gaze growing even hotter.
Sheng Ning took a deep breath, trying her best to calm down.
“Did you eat anything tonight?”
“Yes! Dinner with Chen Yingjie at the cafeteria, nutrition al.”
“I brought you chicken soup.” Sheng Ning proudly presented the chicken soup. As soon as the lid was opened, the aroma filled the room.
To avoid affecting the indoor air, she opened all the windows.
“I’ll serve you a bowl first.” To replenish nutrition, the room was equipped with a full set of tableware. Sheng Ning fetched bowls and chopsticks and served Xu Qigang and Chen Yingjie each a bowl.
“Xiao Ning, you should eat so too.” Xu Qigang held the bowl, offering it to Sheng Ning instead of drinking it himself, “Xiao Ning, you’ve worked hard, you should replenish yourself, or I fear you won’t be able to handle it.”
“I’m fine, you drink!”
“You should drink.” Xu Qigang gave her a aningful look and seriously said, “Really, you need to replenish well, or… if your body falls apart, I’ll be heartbroken.” He drew out the ending softly.
Sheng Ning realized late, but with his burning gaze on her, what wasn’t clear?
Her face turned bright red.
“Living Yama, you’re getting more and more improper, do you know that?”
“Hmm!” He nodded seriously, earnestly feeding her first.
Sheng Ning stubbornly said, “Living Yama, we’ll see who surrenders first then!”
