People of this era still have a strong sense of justice. With her shout, and with that person running away like that, there definitely had to be a problem, especially since Gong Mingxia had just said that she was looking for the bag—specifically, the patient’s bag. Who knows what important items might have been inside? So, a few gentlen at that mont took off in pursuit.
Gong Mingxia looked at the increasingly pale face of the patient and couldn’t help but look around anxiously, "Has anyone called 120 yet? Has it been called?"
Granny Wang ran over, out of breath, pulling Xiao Xiao along, "Yes, it’s been called, child, don’t worry. The operator said when I called, soone had already called a mont ago. There’s a hospital nearby, so the ambulance will be back soon."
"Don’t run, stop, thief! Everyone, try to stop him!"
Several elder brothers shouted as they ran and happened to co across a middle-aged man with a crew cut and a tall and imposing figure. As the thief dashed past him, the man extended his left foot to the right and back, tripping the young guy perfectly, and then stepped on his shoulder.
When the exhausted n finally arrived, panting like cows, one of them exclaid, "Oh my goodness, kid, you can really run. Quick, snatch the bag. Comrade, ah, ah, I can’t anymore. It’s been ages since I’ve run like this. I can’t do it anymore. Comrade, take the bag to the crowd up front, quickly. A guy’s had an attack and, for all we know, his dicine might be in that bag!"
The middle-aged man deftly removed the bag, nodded coolly to the three n, and then took off toward the crowd.
Despite heaving like thunder, the n still pinned down the thief, cursing their fate.
"You idiot, of all the bags you could steal, you chose to steal a foreigner’s? Do you know what this does? It tarnishes the reputation of the Chinese people!"
"Exactly. Even though by the ti we got there the youngster was already on the ground, we now have every reason to suspect that you stole his bag and he chased you, indirectly causing his attack. Was it a guilty conscience that kept you at the scene, not moving?"

In a short span, the n ca up with a whole narrative of a robbery. The young guy, knowing he was in the wrong, didn’t dare speak. After the n recovered from their breathlessness, they dragged him off to the police station.
anwhile, the handso middle-aged uncle brought the bag over to the crowd and handed it to Gong Mingxia.
Gong Mingxia, concerned solely with the patient’s condition and not even looking up, took the bag and promptly started to search it. She quickly found an inhaler in the outer pocket. Although the label was in English, it didn’t stump her. After carefully reading it, she confird it was the person’s asthma dicine. She then propped up his head, pinched his jaw, and sprayed several doses into his throat.
The young man’s consciousness was already faltering, but after five minutes of the dication, his symptoms began to ease. Earlier, he had been laying there, gasping for breath, but after the dication, both the length of his breaths and the wheezing sound significantly lessened. By the ti the ambulance arrived, the young man could lift his head and kept bowing in thanks towards Gong Mingxia.
Gong Mingxia looked up, intending to find the person who had handed her the bag, only to see Granny Wang chatting happily with him.
"It wasn’t who saved you; it was this gentleman who found your bag."
After saying this and seeing no response, Gong Mingxia realized the issue and quickly repeated herself in English. Just before the young man got into the ambulance, he thanked them both again, and when he asked for her na, she smiled and replied, "Chinese, please, call Chinese!"
