"You’re not hurt, are you?" The voice that suddenly rang out was deep and husky, carrying a mature steadiness. However, having just experienced sothing extrely shocking, she hadn’t reacted yet. Startled by the voice, she instinctively looked up to see a blond beastman with an honest face—not particularly handso, but exuding a sense of safety—carefully bending down to look at her.
At that ti, he was wiping his bloody hands with a leaf and disgustedly kicked the Scorpion Beast’s corpse away, leaving behind only an inner core and a pool of dark, pungent blood.
She glanced down at his yellow and white striped beast skin and asked subconsciously, "Are you a tiger? Or a leopard?"
He replied with straightforward candor and a smile, "Hello, my na is Luo Wei. I’m a tiger beast. Are you all right?"
Her pale neck was already showing signs of bruising, so he was sowhat worried. Seeing her shake her head, he then helped her to stand up.
"Are you a female from the Nandi clan? What are you doing here alone? Also, how did you manage to slash its throat so cleanly? What is so sharp?"
Tangtang, still shaken, subconsciously spread out her palm, only to see a translucent thin scale lying there. Seeing the object, Luo Wei cast a curious glance at her.
"Is this... a scale?"
"It’s a Pan Lin scale, incomparably sharp. I got it from near his heart, which is very precious. If it weren’t for this scale, and your tily rescue, I’m afraid I would have..." With eyes brimming with tears, she lifted her head to give a bow to Luo Wei.

Tangtang wiped away her tears and sat on his back, but as she looked around at the trees in the forest, she began to panic again.
"I... I don’t quite rember where he is, but there’s a lake, a really big lake. Have you been there?"
The big tiger didn’t speak but followed the scent on her to find the lake’s edge. However, compared to the peaceful environnt from before, the bloody aftermath of the battle filled the air, and there were two torn-apart bodies of Fallen Beasts.
Seeing their corpses, Tangtang’s eyes brightened, "That’s great, the two Fallen Beasts are dead, but, where is Pan Lin? Pan Lin???"
As Tangtang searched everywhere, the big tiger found a small snake, only as thick as a thumb, under the body of a Spider Beast.
"Is this who you’re looking for?"
Tangtang ran over and upon seeing the small snake, recognized it as a miniaturized version of Pan Lin.
"How did this happen? Why has he beco so small?"
Luo Wei looked around and said in a muted voice, shaking his head.
"Perhaps it’s a form of self-protection due to severe injuries. He’s not dead, but it seems he’ll need a lengthy rest. Are you alright?"
Tangtang held the bloody little snake and took it to the edge of the lake, gently helping to clean its tiny body. In that mont, he suddenly lifted his eyelids to glance at her.
Tangtang exclaid with surprise, "Apang, it’s , Tangtang. I’m alright now. It was Luo Wei, Luo Wei saved ."
Luo Wei tily ca over, but Pan Lin only glanced at them before closing his eyes again.
"He looks so tired. I need to take him back to the Nandi Clan, so Nanny can take a look at him. Luo Wei, would you mind taking back?"
Luo Wei said with a chuckle, "I’m from the Nandi Clan, but how co I’ve never seen you?"
Tangtang turned around in surprise and indeed, she saw the Nandi Clan’s emblem at the back of his neck. "What a coincidence, I haven’t seen you either."
"Haha, well now we can get acquainted. Co on, I’ll take you back to the tribe,"
Luo Wei didn’t find any marks of a mate on her, so he couldn’t guess the relationship between her and this snake. However, since she was a female from the Nandi Clan, it should be easy to find out her background.
Luo Wei saw the Beast Skin Bag next to them, and automatically slung it over his neck, while Pan Lin directly coiled onto Tangtang’s wrist.
Just as they were about to leave, Tangtang suddenly rembered the fish that Pan Lin had buried in the ground.
She quickly dug them out and placed them in the Beast Skin Bag. Even though she wasn’t hungry right now, since Luo Wei had saved her, she decided to repay him with these fish.
Tangtang’s face was well-known in the Nandi Clan; wherever she went, people adored her, especially since she had saved Xiong Sen’s cub.
However, when she rode on Luo Wei’s back to return, it still caused quite the stir.
Luo Wei was the eldest son of the Great Clan Leader Luoke, and not long ago, he had gone to Wanshou City for so event, which is why Tangtang hadn’t seen him when she arrived.
The two of them returning together was bound to lead to questions from the elders, and when they found out she had been attacked by a Fallen Beast, they couldn’t help but sweat coldly for her.
"Tangtang, can’t you just stay put in the tribe? Yin Ye isn’t in the tribe; what if sothing had happened to you, then what?"

While the females were advising Tangtang, she learned of Luo Wei’s strength. Although he was also a Four-Pattern Beast, he had reached the peak of Four Patterns and was on the verge of advancing to a Five-Patterned Beast. Luo Wei already had a female and even two cubs, making him the second-in-command of their tribe.
To a large extent, Pan Lin’s recent danger was because he had been injured while protecting her so ti ago, and he had given her a part of his inner core. Although she didn’t know how it was split, that Hei Wu wouldn’t lie; this was the direct cause of today’s situation.
While Tangtang felt guilty, she hesitated even more about whether she should obediently stay in the tribe and do nothing, waiting to be fed like the other females.
But thinking of her achievents during this ti, she didn’t want to give up. Nanny had checked Pan Lin’s body; external wounds could be dicated, but internal injuries still relied on his own recovery. Since their tribe didn’t have any of the snake family, Nanny wasn’t clear about the reasons for his current state.
Not finding the answers she wanted, she felt a bit disappointed, but still insisted on giving those fish to Luo Wei. She wanted him to take them back for his female and cubs to try and once again expressed her gratitude to him.
In the end, she took Pan Lin back to Yin Ye’s ho, where the other Beastn had already helped bring back the chilies.
She had little appetite, so she just nibbled on a fruit as her dinner for the day, then held Pan Lin, gently stroking his smooth, cold back, applying dicine while reproaching herself.
Pan Lin was just like he was asleep; no matter how she fussed over him, there was no sign of him waking up.
