Mixed-grain stead buns were soft and warm, but they’d turn hard once cool. Since the husk was left on during the milling process, they tasted quite coarse. Yet, it was this coarse food that was hardest to co by in her past life. Biting into one, the natural fragrance of the food filled her mouth—the flavor of the raw ingredients was very strong. Adding in so oil rolls and eating them with vegetables and glass noodles, the taste was truly beautiful, warm.

"Delicious, delicious, really delicious. It’s like a little bowl, you put the vegetables inside, and the little ones take one bite at a ti, sister, you really thought this through."

Blushing at Lili’s praise, Tangtang felt a bit shy. Actually, that wasn’t her intention—the stead buns were just naturally small. It was just that the cubs’ mouths were too big.

Of course, our peacock and black eagle couldn’t manage one in a single bite. When they snatched at them with their sharp beaks, they definitely didn’t enjoy it as much as the little leopards who could gulp them down in one go. So, when it ca to eating, those with big mouths enjoyed their food much more than those who ate with beaks.

She also brought out the crab sauce and shrimp sauce she made by the seaside in autumn since the vegetables were a bit bland, letting them eat it with the stead buns.

Anything that could be turned into sauce, she made into sauce. Anything that could be dried, she also dried and stored. There was enough food in the house not just for this winter, but for the next one too.

As expected today, these Stomach Kings not only finished all the stead buns but also all the vegetables. Such hearty eaters!

She saved so dough for tomorrow, in case they wanted more; she could simply fernt the dough again. All it needed was to be soaked and stirred into the flour with water, ensuring it was kneaded into smooth water without any lumps for a better texture.

Tangtang hadn’t expected her first attempt to turn out so well, and she had also just right gauged the amount of alkaline powder. She really was a genius.

She couldn’t rember how many stead buns she had stead anymore. Just by looking at the amount of flour, she could roughly judge how much alkaline powder to use. It had already beco a conditioned reflex.

After eating, one shouldn’t imdiately lie down in bed, but the little cubs had all climbed onto the bed-stove; even the little rmaid couldn’t resist. So, Tangtang let her go underwater to rest.

While Lang Sen did the dishes, Tangtang wasn’t idle. She organized the wool drying on the racks in the house, rolling them into balls for easier knitting later.

To avoid disturbing the children’s rest, she did this in the middle room, with Yin Ye and Jin Han helping her. But as they helped, she felt that the looks these two n gave her were a bit much. They kept glancing her way and were getting increasingly closer.

She could even hear her own heartbeat speeding up, as how could a dim oil lamp at midnight fend off two pairs of eyes as bright as searchlights?

She took a deep breath and when she decided to leave, Yin Ye suddenly caught her in his arms, his voice low and husky, full of restrain and frustration.

"Let’s just sleep here tonight. The kids are asleep in the other two rooms. We just added so firewood."

His hands were very warm. Tangtang awkwardly pulled away, smiling sheepishly, "Uh, I just rembered, I forgot to stir the wine."

"We’ve already stirred it. Don’t worry, everything is fine. We checked everything before going to bed. There won’t be any problems, it’s late, shall we sleep?"

Tangtang swallowed hard. "Yin Ye, listen to . I’ve told you before, I,"

Jin Han, leaning his head against the wall, gave her a captivating smile: "What are you thinking? Could we possibly force you?"

Yin Ye sighed, "Can’t we just sleep holding you? After your estrus, it’s the perfect breeding ti, but your rejection, choosing to endure rather than let us close. Such clear intentions, we understand them fully, why would we still have any false hopes from you?"

She enduring? When had she ever endured?

Tangtang looked at Jin Han and Yin Ye with a puzzled face, full of question marks. But how could she feel justified to ask questions?

Maybe, she was naturally different from other females? After all, her mind was infused with a soul from the 21st century.

The native-born females here were quite different, as they naturally acknowledged their designated roles.

Still, her thinking could be considered quite liberal—rather than bearing cubs herself, she preferred to raise others’, which on any other female here, might seem unlikely. Yet, she had truly done just that.
