Alex looked at her for a mont before replying.
"Ma’am, please don’t say that," he said calmly. "I already promised you I would look after him. You don’t owe anything. What I did... it was just sothing I felt I should do. So please, don’t feel like you have to repay ."
Miranda stared at him for a few seconds. A small, genuine smile appeared on her face.
"You’re a good kid, Alex," Miranda said softly. "That’s why I’m insisting."
She leaned back in her chair and looked at him seriously.
"I know you already have your own connections," she continued, "but I can still help you in many ways. People fight tooth and nail just to get a foothold in this university. As the President, I have access to certain privileges that most people don’t. If you ever need anything... whether it’s related to your studies, personal matters, or even sothing outside the university... don’t hesitate to co to ."
Her tone was calm but firm.
"I may not be as powerful as so of the big families out there, but within these walls, my word still carries weight. And I don’t forget the people who’ve helped ."
Alex looked at her for a mont before giving a small nod.
But internally, he was clearly satisfied.
He already knew how important Blackwood University was. It wasn’t just a prestigious institution... it held significant influence both inside and outside its walls.
More importantly, it served as a breeding ground for talented individuals. If he could one day develop his own thods to detect and nurture talent at an early stage, the university’s value would beco even greater in the long run.

Alex gave a small nod, genuinely satisfied with her sincerity.

He paused for a second, then asked in a calm voice,
"How’s Mr. Sterling? Is he doing fine?"
Miranda’s expression softened. She looked down for a mont before replying.
"He is good," she said quietly. "I was really scared when I first saw him... but it looks like they haven’t tortured him much. He is recovering slowly."
Alex nodded as he listened to her.
’Jas didn’t let him go easily,’ he thought. ’Catherine must have used so healing dicine or sothing to help him recover this fast.’
"He’ll be fine, don’t worry, Ma’am," Alex said calmly. "Just give him so ti."
Miranda looked at him and smiled gently.
"I hope so."
Alex picked up the envelope containing his Hall Ticket from the table and stood up.
"I should get going now. The exams are coming up soon."
Miranda nodded.
"Alright. Go and study well. And rember what I said."
Alex gave a small respectful nod and turned toward the door.
As soon as Alex stepped out of the office and closed the door behind him, Natalia’s last words echoed in his mind.
