Pierce’s voice carried both sympathy and righteous authority as he concluded William and Brad’s devastating testimony.

The detailed account of coordinated violence had settled over the chamber like a storm cloud, but Pierce wasn’t finished constructing his case.

"You’ve heard powerful testimony, panel mbers," Pierce said, his tone growing more formal, more judicial.

"Specific details, emotional trauma, clear identification of the perpetrators. But before we proceed further, I believe it’s appropriate to give the accused the opportunity to respond to these serious allegations."

He turned his attention to Alex, Mike, and Danny, his expression carrying the weight of institutional disappointnt mixed with what might have been paternal concern.

"Mr. Hale, Mr. Carter, Mr. Morrison," Pierce began, his voice taking on the asured cadence of formal proceedings.

"You’ve heard the detailed testimony of your classmates. They’ve provided specific accounts of a coordinated assault they claim was carried out by all three of you."

Pierce paused, letting the accusations hang heavy in the chamber’s air. "These are serious charges that could result in imdiate expulsion and criminal prosecution."

Pierce’s voice softened, almost paternal.

"Understand, young n, the university is not without rcy. If you accept responsibility here and now, this panel can recomnd leniency... a chance to resolve this swiftly."

He let the words breathe, scanning the room. William shifted in his sling. Brad lowered his gaze, jaw tight.

Across the table, Brennan and other two panalists exchanged glances... brief, knowing, but silent. They didn’t need words to recognize the tactic: Pierce was cornering the boys with the illusion of choice.

Pierce leaned back slightly, his tone dropping.

"Otherwise, if you persist in denying what has already been described, we will have no choice but to proceed with the full weight of disciplinary and legal channels."

Miranda, however, leaned forward, her voice cutting through the chamber like steel. "Mr. President, this is not a bargaining table. This panel exists to uncover the truth, not to coax confessions. Justice isn’t served by tempting frightened students into admissions to make things tidy. If we want integrity in this process, we must seek clarity, not convenience."

The tension sharpened, the two tones clashing... Pierce’s velvet persuasion against Miranda’s uncompromising demand for fairness.

Alex rose slowly from his seat, his movent carrying quiet dignity rather than theatrical defiance.

When he spoke, his voice was clear, steady, unshaken by the weight of the allegations.

"President Pierce, distinguished panel mbers," Alex began, "I categorically and completely deny these charges. I did not participate in any assault upon these students or anyone else. The allegations are entirely false. In fact, we were not even on campus when these assaults supposedly took place."

Beside him, Mike and Danny rose in turn, each echoing the sa firm rejection of the accusations... a complete denial of any involvent in violence.

Pierce nodded slowly, as if their denials were exactly what he’d expected but found deeply disappointing.

His expression suggested these were the predictable responses of young n caught in obvious wrongdoing.

"I see," Pierce replied, his voice carrying undertones of regret mixed with determination. "Complete denial despite detailed eyewitness testimony from the victims themselves. How... unfortunate that we cannot resolve this through honest acknowledgnt."

Then, almost as an afterthought, Pierce’s deanor shifted slightly.

His voice took on a lighter note... still carrying full institutional authority, but with an edge of sothing that might have been sardonic amusent.

"Though I suppose," Pierce continued, his lips curving into the faintest smile that didn’t reach his eyes, "conducting such activities off campus does present certain... jurisdictional complications for our proceedings here. Doesn’t it, gentlen?"

The comnt hung in the air like a chess move... simultaneously acknowledging potential legal complexities while asserting his authority to proceed regardless.

Pierce’s tone remained conversational, almost playful, but there was steel underneath that made it clear he considered such technicalities minor obstacles rather than insurmountable barriers.

Pierce’s expression grew more serious as he consulted additional docunts from his ticulously organized folder. "Panel mbers, before we proceed further, I believe it’s important to address any suggestion that the victims’ injuries might be... exaggerated or fabricated."

He gestured toward William and Brad with genuine concern in his voice. "If anyone questions the severity or authenticity of what these young n endured, I encourage you to examine the comprehensive dical reports compiled by our ergency dical services."

Pierce placed thick folders before each panel mber, his movents deliberate and weighty.

"These docunts contain detailed injury assessnts, photographic evidence, treatnt protocols, and recovery projections prepared by qualified dical professionals."

As the panel mbers opened the folders, their expressions shifted noticeably.

Dr. Brennan’s face went pale as he examined the photographs. Dr. Carlisle’s mouth tightened with obvious distress, while Mr. Langford actually pushed his folder slightly away after glancing at the contents.

Alex’s jaw set, anger sharpening into cold suspicion at just how carefully the lie had been constructed.

Mike’s fists tightened on his thighs, his fury barely leashed. Danny only shrank back in his chair, not from guilt, but from the dawning realization of how far their enemies were willing to go.

"Multiple fractured ribs, severe soft tissue damage, systematic bruising covering sixty percent of the body surface area," Pierce continued with clinical precision, his voice carrying both authority and controlled outrage.

"Injuries consistent with extended assault using blunt instrunts, administered with what the dical staff characterized as ’thodical brutality.’"

Miranda’s expression remained professional as she reviewed the evidence, but sothing flickered in her green eyes... a flash of pain that spoke to more than just sympathy for the victims.

She was seeing sothing deeper, more disturbing about the lengths to which Pierce was willing to go to orchestrate this elaborate deception.

The other panel mbers nodded gravely as they absorbed the dical docuntation.

The photographs and reports painted a picture of systematic violence that seed to corroborate William and Brad’s emotional testimony perfectly.

"These are not minor altercation injuries," Pierce emphasized, his voice growing stronger with moral conviction.

"These are the deliberate inflictions of maximum pain and trauma designed to send a ssage of intimidation throughout our student body."

Pierce turned his attention back to building his case with renewed focus, energized by the panel’s obvious reaction to the dical evidence.

His tone remained asured, professional, but there was the faintest curl of satisfaction at the edges of his words.

"Since you are so determined to claim you weren’t even on campus, let us address that matter directly. I believe we have testimony that will speak quite clearly to your presence and preparation."

He allowed the words to hang for a mont, then continued smoothly, "I call forward our next witness... Jacob Reeves, a sophomore in business administration who observed the defendants’ preparation for this coordinated assault."

The thin, unremarkable young man who entered the chamber carried himself with nervous determination.

"Mr. Reeves," Pierce began with encouraging warmth, "please tell this panel what you observed yesterday morning."

Jacob cleared his throat, his voice gaining confidence as he settled into his prepared testimony.

"I was in the student cafeteria around 8:00 AM, working on so assignnts before my first class. I noticed Alex and Mike sitting together at one of the corner tables near the large windows."

Pierce nodded encouragingly, his expression conveying both interest and approval. "What specifically drew your attention to them?"

"Their behavior seed unusual... secretive," Jacob continued, warming to his role as key witness.

"They were talking in hushed tones, almost whispering, and they kept looking around like they were worried about being overheard by other students."

"And what was their general deanor?"

"They seed excited about sothing, but in a way that made think they were planning sothing they shouldn’t be doing," Jacob replied with growing conviction.

"Like they were anticipating sothing specific but wanted to keep it private."

Pierce leaned forward slightly, his voice carrying satisfaction masked as judicial interest. "What happened next?"

"They kept checking their phones repeatedly," Jacob said, clearly aware of his importance to the proceedings. "Like they were waiting for a particular ssage or call. Then around 8:15, Alex’s phone actually rang."

Jacob paused for calculated dramatic effect, ensuring every panel mber was hanging on his words.

"I couldn’t hear the conversation from my table, but the mont he hung up, both of them exchanged this urgent look... like sothing big had just happened."

Pierce’s expression remained neutral, but his voice carried an undertone of triumph. "Can you describe their departure?"

"They left the cafeteria in a trendous hurry," Jacob testified with absolute certainty.

"Alex grabbed Mike’s arm, they abandoned their breakfast trays without finishing their food, and practically ran toward the exit. The whole thing seed really urgent, like they’d gotten so kind of coordination signal they’d been waiting for."

Pierce’s smile was sharp with satisfaction as he turned to address the panel mbers directly.

"So you witnessed the defendants receiving what can only be characterized as coordination instructions and imdiately departing to carry out their planned assault?"

"That’s exactly what it looked like to ," Jacob confird with the conviction of soone who had been thoroughly coached in his testimony.

Then he added, a little more cautiously, "Sir, at first I just thought it was odd behavior. But now, after hearing everything that’s co out... it could be connected to this incident."

Pierce returned to his position behind the panel table, his confidence fully restored and radiating authority.

"Panel mbers, the tiline is absolutely clear and indisputable. At 8:15 AM, Mr. Hale and Mr. Carter received coordination instructions via telephone. They imdiately abandoned their normal activities and proceeded to et with Mr. Morrison to carry out their planned assault on the victims."

His voice took on the resonant cadence of a prosecutor delivering what he believed to be a closing argunt.

"This was not a spontaneous altercation born of heated emotions or competitive tensions. This was a calculated, preditated assault executed with thodical precision by students who believed their athletic success granted them license to hunt down and brutalize their classmates."

Pierce’s gaze settled on all three defendants with cold, institutional authority. "Mr. Hale, Mr. Carter, Mr. Morrison, you’ve now heard testimony from multiple independent witnesses... the victims themselves and an objective observer of the coordination and preparation. The evidence shows planning, communication, and execution of systematic violence."

He leaned forward slightly, his voice carrying the full weight of decades of administrative power. "In light of such overwhelming and corroborated testimony, do you still maintain your complete innocence? Or would you prefer to accept responsibility and demonstrate to this panel that you understand the gravity of your actions?"

The challenge was unmistakable... confess now and perhaps receive institutional rcy, or maintain innocence in the face of what Pierce presented as insurmountable evidence.

But as the three defendants remained seated with eerily calm expressions, and Miranda’s slight, knowing smile suggested that Pierce’s apparently overwhelming case was about to encounter so very inconvenient truths.

The real battle for justice was just beginning, and the dical evidence that Pierce thought strengthened his position might prove to be the very weapon that destroyed it.
