Jiang Xiang didn’t think much and quickly rushed over.

Upon getting closer, he realized she was stepping on soone. That person was struggling, but perhaps due to the force of her foot, after a few struggles, he lost his strength and seed to lay there without resistance.

"Where’s the injury?" Jiang Xiang glanced at Ah Chen, squatted down beside her, and opened the first aid kit, searching for sothing to treat the wound.

"This girl is called Ling Qian. I just asked her where she was hurt and even planned to call an ambulance, but she said it wasn’t necessary. There’s so much blood, it really gave a fright. How could she be okay? But she indeed is fine. It’s been so long, and she does have so extraordinary talent." Qi Li crouched down and said, "Her skills are impressive, cousin. I think even you’re not her match. You should’ve seen the way she slamd that person to the ground just now, so cool. Even you would’ve been floored by her."

"Honestly, if it weren’t for her, I would’ve been done for here," Qi Li sighed again, "But..."

He frowned. With such formidable skills, how could she have been hard by that man?

Not only Qi Li thought of this, but Jiang Xiang, who was rummaging through the first aid kit, also snapped back to reality.

With gauze in hand, he looked up at Ah Chen. With a bright flashlight illuminating the area, he finally saw her expression and the wound on her neck. That position... and with so much blood, in normal circumstances, it might have been hopeless.

The gauze in Jiang Xiang’s hand dropped back down as he stared at her dazedly.

He wanted to say sothing, even call out that na, but Qi Li kept mumbling beside him.

"Are you sure you don’t need to call an ambulance?" he asked.

Ah Chen replied, "No, it’s unnecessary."

She smiled at him, and Jiang Xiang finally confird that this was Chenchen, the sister he’d been waiting for a long ti.

Although he didn’t know why she was here or what had happened, it was indeed her.

It seed she wouldn’t be staying for long.

The last one was nad Jiang Ying, and today it’s Ling Qian, yet she told him her na was Chenchen. So, Chenchen wasn’t actually them, was she?

Qi Li, however, wasn’t paying much attention to Ah Chen. Since Jiang Xiang arrived, he’d been mumbling in his ear, and thus didn’t see the severity of the wound on Ah Chen’s neck.

The sound of police sirens approached; it hadn’t been long, but they arrived quickly.

"Ride with ," Jiang Xiang said to Ah Chen, then told Qi Li, "You take the police car and brief them on the situation."

Qi Li: Why?

Seeing Qi Li still a bit confused, Ah Chen said, "We know each other."

Qi Li suddenly realized, so that’s why his cousin was acting differently. Speaking of which, his cousin was becoming more serious with age, not as fun as when he was a kid.

Does the cousin like this girl?

Why hadn’t he heard of it before? Cold cousin, huh?

The police asked Ah Chen about her condition. She said she was fine, then got into Jiang Xiang’s passenger seat, watching him interact with them, seemingly knowing them.

There were still people at the scene investigating, taking pictures. Even though the culprit was caught, it was a necessary procedure.

There was only a makeshift shed above. Originally, the killer, fearing further complications after killing Qi Li, had smashed the shed to let the rain pour down on Ling Qian and Qi Li. The rain was bound to get heavier late at night, a downpour that would wash away any traces, covering the criminal’s deeds.

The car started, and Ah Chen smiled and said, "I heard Brother Jiang got into the police academy, congratulations."

Jiang Xiang gripped the steering wheel, saying, "I thought you were lying to ."

But the scene of her returning was hard to accept.

Even though it didn’t affect her much, seeing her covered in blood made his heart skip a beat.

"I’m sorry for scaring you," Ah Chen said. She really didn’t expect his presence in this unusual world. But thinking again, the world would logically attract his fragnts.

"It’s not your fault, why apologize," Jiang Xiang added, "I wasn’t scared."

"Of course, Brother Jiang, who is to be a cop, must have guts," Ah Chen remarked.

Jiang Xiang couldn’t resist glancing at her, seeing a faint smile on her face: "Watch the road."

Jiang Xiang imdiately looked away, focusing ahead.

"Will you leave after taking care of things?" he asked.

Ah Chen softly responded, "Yes."

"The sa as last ti?"

"Yes, the sa."

Jiang Xiang exhaled, feeling a bit stifled: "Will you co back?"

"I will," Ah Chen replied with certainty, "But I don’t know if we’ll et. When handling matters, it’s hard to do other things, I can’t specifically contact Brother Jiang."

Jiang Xiang was silent for a few seconds, then said, "Can you confirm when?"

She couldn’t contact him, so he would find her.

"I don’t know," Ah Chen said, because the world’s consciousness was weak, she could only understand specifics when inside the victim’s body.

But she was sure that once things were settled, staying in this world to live wouldn’t be a problem. The convenient world’s consciousness would be willing to allow it.

Jiang Xiang remained silent, how could he find her that way?

"Will it be this way forever?" he asked.

Ah Chen: "No, there’s an end."

Jiang Xiang’s eyes showed a hint of hope, then he heard her say, "I’ll look for you after it’s done; doesn’t that make Brother Jiang happy?"

Jiang Xiang’s face suddenly turned red, and with a stern face, he said, "Happy."

"Then I’ll wait for you."

Ah Chen playfully added, "What if we’re old and gray..."

"I’ll wait for you." Not letting her finish, Jiang Xiang said firmly, no matter the ti, he would wait for her return.

He didn’t know who she was, or what miracles were on her.

But she said she would find him, so he would wait.

"Good." Ah Chen’s eyes were all smiles, "I’m happy too."

Arriving at the police station, Ah Chen got out of the car, and when she walked into the light, everyone noticed the wound on her neck was quite terrifying.

Previously, seeing her active and refusing dical treatnt before diving into Jiang Xiang’s car, they really hadn’t noticed the severity.

They were just about to send Ah Chen for treatnt when she looked at the cuffed man and called out, "Teacher Zhai."

The person she called was the raincoat-clad figure from before. The things wrapped around him had been removed, revealing his true face.

Zhai Jinsheng, suddenly called by her, instinctively lifted his head, only to see her covered in blood, standing there with a smile looking at him. It was clearly still her, yet he felt sothing was different. She didn’t seem to be that obedient, quiet girl anymore but a vengeance-seeker returned from Hell.

"Ah—" Zhai Jinsheng, frightened by his own thoughts, couldn’t help but scream, his eyes filled with terror. He pointed at Ah Chen, "You’re not human, you definitely aren’t human."

He stared at the hideous wound on her neck, with so much blood lost, it was impossible she was still alive. He had checked before, she was dead, she was dead. It’s not like he hadn’t killed before, he was very sure the forr her was already gone.
