Ye Ji clenched his fists, his eyes as deep as a black pool showing a hint of incredulity.

This Old Dog Ning made him wait all night, and he thought the other had so sinister plot, but it turned out to be just falling ill.

Still hateful.

Ye Ji took a deep breath, lucky Old Dog Ning.

He hoped he would recover soon, for if he remained bedridden, it would be as if he had punched a cotton ball, leaving him full of pent-up frustration just thinking about it.

Ye Ji’s emotions surfaced only briefly and quickly returned to his usual dignified and deep deanor, revealing nothing through his eyes.

"All of you, leave." He waved his hand.

What exactly is wrong with Prince Ning, he would find out after asking Zhao Jincai. For now, he didn’t plan to send the Imperial Physician over; Zhao Jincai’s dical skills were no less than those of the palace physicians.

anwhile, Ning Guangjun, who had been unconscious all night, finally opened his eyes slowly, feeling a bit sore and aching at the back of his neck.

His eyes were still sowhat dazed, but when he saw Ah Chen by his bedside, he suddenly recalled last night’s events, and anger erupted on his face.

He turned over and got up, opened his mouth to shout.

With a quick step, Ah Chen delivered a karate chop to the back of Ning Guangjun’s neck, causing him to fall down unwillingly with eyes wide open.

Beside him, Zhao Jincai touched his nose, well, he now understood how Prince Ning got knocked out.

Looking at Ah Chen’s sowhat innocent face, if he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, Zhao Jincai would find it hard to believe that the Heir of Prince Ning would treat Prince Ning so roughly.

This is a ruthless man, indeed.

But what are his intentions?

"Father just woke up briefly but soon fell asleep again; do not disturb him," Ah Chen said to the partisan mbers who ca to visit Prince Ning and instructed the guards at the door, "Watch carefully, I’m heading into the mountains."

This was the Ping Mountain Hunting Ground, with tents pitched at the base of the hunting ground, only a few steps to enter the mountain.

"Doctor Zhao, thank you for your hard work. Now that Father’s illness has stabilized, you may return and rest after watching over him for a night." Ah Chen handed a money pouch to Zhao Jincai.

Zhao Jincai wasn’t polite, accepting it with a smile, showing an appropriately greedy look to mislead the other, completely unconcerned that the money pouch was taken from Prince Ning by the Young Master, who should be grateful for the sleep-inducing potion he provided that morning.

Of course, the Young Master didn’t specifically ask for a sleeping potion; he used the excuse that Prince Ning was suffering from unbearable headaches and asked if there was sothing to help him sleep peacefully.

Heh, how could he not understand the Heir of Prince Ning’s intentions? It didn’t harm him, so he gave it.

As Ah Chen entered the mountain, Zhao Jincai returned to the tent shortly after and found an opportunity to report last night’s events to Ye Ji.

Ye Ji sat at the top speechless, while Zhao Jincai held two golden ingots and a money pouch in his hands, sensing the chill coming from him, feeling sowhat scared. Although it was clear Your Majesty wouldn’t trouble soone for no reason, it was still quite intimidating.

Ye Ji took a deep breath. He had just co to terms with the wasted efforts of last night, but after Zhao Jincai told him the truth, the smoldering fire of frustration inside him surged upwards.

The Heir of Prince Ning, oh well, that kid is indeed sothing, making him wait up all night for nothing.

Zhao Jincai hid the gold ingots well and returned to Prince Ning’s side, just in ti to see Ah Chen cooking sothing outside the tent. He sniffed; it was the scent of mushroom soup.

He greeted him with a smug expression, giving Ah Chen a display of what you called a fawning expression, "t the Young Master."

In truth, he wanted to call him the God of Wealth.

"Why is the Young Master cooking the soup personally? Shouldn’t you let soone help you?"

Ah Chen answered seriously, "Father previously said he wanted to drink mushroom soup. I should cook it myself. As a son, filial piety is my duty."

"With such filial piety, I’m sure the Prince would feel gratified," Zhao Jincai complinted.

Heh, today I get to see what they an by filial piety that could kill, and a filial deed that makes everyone laugh!

Once the mushroom soup was ready, the alluring aroma spread. When Ah Chen asked Zhao Jincai if he wanted to taste it, he shook his head and declined.

Are you kidding? This was cooked for Prince Ning; who knows if it would be lethal?

The aroma was indeed enticing. Mushroom soup was naturally delicious; yet, for so reason, the mushroom soup brewed by the Heir of Prince Ning was even more mouth-watering. He had never slled anything so fragrant before. Unfortunately, he didn’t have a Vajra Body and dared not taste it.

After serving a bowl ant for Prince Ning, under Zhao Jincai’s curious gaze, Ah Chen tossed two fresh mushrooms into the pot to cook further.

Aware of Zhao Jincai’s gaze, Ah Chen explained, "Father doesn’t like these two kinds of mushrooms."

Zhao Jincai seed enlightened outwardly but questioned internally, Is that true? Sothing feels off.

Having organized a world task report the whole night and intending to co over to check the situation, 997 overheard this and was perplexed in his electronic eyes. Really? The data didn’t ntion that?

Maybe it was missed.

Indeed, in a small world, anything could happen, and missing so data was perfectly normal.

Watching the rookie host adapt well to everything, 997 felt relieved and got busy again.

Now that he had a permanently bound host, naturally, he had to sort through mission world data and incidentally keep an eye out for tasks from quality worlds, making note of timings to snatch them for the host. They were permanently bound after all, more tasks ant more gains.

He was indeed very busy.

But very happy.

Truly, a life of rolling up was the lifestyle suited for him.

There’s hope.

Ning Guangjun hadn’t woken up yet. Ah Chen kept the special mushroom soup warm, ready to convey it to him upon waking.

Soon, the mushrooms newly added into the pot were well-cooked, and she invited Zhao Jincai and the guards outside to have so soup.

The guards weren’t on guard; they ca in rotations to eat.

Zhao Jincai hadn’t left yet, observing the guards with no issues after eating. When Ah Chen invited him again, he couldn’t resist serving himself a bowl.

Hard to refuse such kindness, excuse , excuse .

He decided to go into the tent and eat, checking stealthily beforehand for any problems, right?

Indeed, he was a remarkably clever doctor.

Zhao Jincai enjoyed the delicious mushroom soup, and after filling his stomach, ca out to find Prince Ning’s guards catching him, saying that Prince Ning had awoken but seed off.

Zhao Jincai found the situation strange, pondering countless thoughts.

Inside Prince Ning’s tent, his partisans had all gathered, with noise and commotion all around. However, they were all Prince Ning’s voice. Fixating his eyes, Zhao Jincai found Prince Ning sitting on the bed, waving his hands franticly as if trying to grab sothing.

Ah? Could it be that Prince Ning got his brain damaged by the Young Master?

Zhao Jincai abruptly noticed the empty bowl placed beside and had an inexplicable thought—could it possibly be related to that bowl of mushroom soup?

He touched his stomach, worrying about his own condition. Recalling how the Young Master later threw two different mushrooms into the pot, perhaps it was nothing?

Zhao Jincai regretted being greedy.

Seeing him, Ah Chen called out, "Doctor Zhao, co see what’s wrong with Father, his manner seems like he’s gone mad."

Zhao Jincai imdiately understood. The Young Master had even thought through the illness, very considerate indeed.

Facing the concerned gazes from all sides, Zhao Jincai released Ning Guangjun’s wrist, donned a solemn expression, and said, "Young Master, His Highness seems to indeed have gone mad, induced by a cerebral illness, currently without a cure. Perhaps we can request the Imperial Physician to co and assess."
