"If Miss Bai doesn’t want Mrs. Huii to get hurt, then don’t make any other moves." The driver quickly said as he saw Ah Chen reaching for her phone.
This was his first ti doing sothing like this, and he was extrely nervous and scared, but there was no other way; the offer was too tempting.
Ah Chen put down her phone. Of course Bai Huii wouldn’t be in danger; this was probably just sothing the driver was told to say.
This driver was used by the Bai Family to test the waters, to see how much power she had.

"Who put you up to this?" Ah Chen asked.
The driver didn’t reply but instead handed Ah Chen a bottle of water. "If Miss Bai doesn’t want Mrs. Huii to get hurt, just drink this bottle of water."
Ah Chen didn’t take it; she was visibly impatient. She didn’t like this thod, so she decided to take action.
She pulled out a small knife and held it to the driver’s neck. "Either stop the car, or drive to the Lu Family’s place. My patience is limited."
She wasn’t willing to play these gas with them.
Feeling the cold blade against his neck, the driver froze completely.
He felt the blood trickling down from his neck. Miss Bai was serious, and he couldn’t help but cry out in panic, "Aren’t you worried about Mrs. Huii? Even if she’s not been caught yet, she could be at any mont."
"Drive back to the Lu Family." Ah Chen said.
No matter what happened to Bai Huii, she wouldn’t be in danger. There was no way she’d let her target get hard.
The driver, seeing no other option, could only drive toward the Lu Family.
Ah Chen leaned back into the car seat with her eyes closed, while the driver glanced at her and continued, "Miss Bai, you might regret going back to the Lu Family."
Ah Chen didn’t open her eyes. It was clear that the Bai Family thought capturing Bai Huii would force her to comply.
At that mont, her phone rang, and she opened her eyes to see it was Ji Wuyan calling. She answered, "What’s the matter?"
"Feeling down?" Ji Wuyan imdiately picked up on her weary tone, glancing at Bai Huii chatting with his mom nearby, he had a hunch about who had upset her.
But the Bai Family’s foundation was deep-rooted, and within this short ti, they couldn’t act recklessly. They needed to gather more evidence to defeat them from all angles.
"My mom ran into Aunt Bai and helped with a small mishap earlier, so there’s nothing you need to worry about." He said.
Ah Chen chuckled, "Thank you and your mom. Much appreciated."
Even though Bai Huii wouldn’t be in danger, avoiding her being kidnapped was still preferable.

Ji Wuyan understood that "they" referred to the Bai Family.
He certainly knew; in the city, they couldn’t hide. Although the Bai Family didn’t interact with them, it was still easy to find out where they were.

Ji Wuyan asked, "What are you planning to do?"

The driver broke out in a cold sweat, hastily pleading for rcy.

He assud it was a waiter, not paying much attention to why the waiter didn’t speak this ti.
The door opened, and Ah Chen entered, locking it behind her.
The Bai Family originally had their heads down but when they noticed the waiter hadn’t co over, they quickly lifted their heads and saw Ah Chen standing at the doorway, startling all three of them.
"I thought you’d co directly to find , or even send soone to take away, but you actually used my driver to test the waters. How cowardly."
"Made co all the way myself."
"You even dared to use my mother as a threat. Today, you’ve truly angered ."
"This body looks nice, right? No wonder you still don’t want to let go at this point."
"I’ve even thought of where your family will end up." Ah Chen said with a smile.
But this smile made the Bai Family shudder, and Bai Xian’s expression turned unpleasant, "Bai Chen, we of the Bai Family aren’t at your rcy. You’d better think twice before acting, lest you invite trouble upon yourself."
"What trouble could there be if I bring you down?" Ah Chen pulled out a chair and sat down.
Bai Yu said, "The Bai Family isn’t as simple as you think."
