Now reading: Chapter 82: The Pure Jade Idol Is Not to Be Provoked 32 from She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!, a Sci-fi novel by Rong 11.

Ah Chen and Shi Wei went to the cinema to watch a movie without any disguise, and of course, they were noticed by people.

It’s just that for so reason, by the ti people reacted after they left, it was too late to chase after them for an autograph.

"It’s not what I expected; the fans’ emotions are very stable." Back in the car, Shi Wei said this.

Surprisingly, they didn’t swarm around but just stood there quietly watching.

They didn’t even co up to ask for an autograph.

It was sowhat unbelievable.

He was a bit worried that if soone indeed saw them watching a movie together, it might cause chaos. His fans are generally older, always emotionally stable, and wouldn’t rush over in a hurry upon seeing him.

But he has seen many fans of idols, who are younger, full of energy, and inevitably get excited when they see their idol. Every appearance of the main star always requires soone to maintain order, or else things could get chaotic easily.

"The fans have grown up; it’s normal for them to be stable." Ah Chen said, "They probably noticed that I’m on a date with Teacher Shi, so they didn’t want to disturb us, very considerate."

997, coming back to check on the situation, had already accepted the host looking for a partner well.

But hearing what the host said, he remained silent, his instinct telling him that it was definitely sothing the host did that made the fans not swarm around. But at this mont, the host probably didn’t want to be disturbed, so he chose to stay quiet.

Is that so?

Shi Wei was still a bit puzzled, but apart from believing Ah Chen’s explanation, he couldn’t think of any other reason.

It seed to be just as she said.

"If Teacher Shi is still going to overthink, it’s best to let drive." Ah Chen reminded.

Shi Wei started the car: "Not this ti."

"Really? After just one movie, are you saying you won’t think of , Teacher Shi? You’re quite calm." Ah Chen sat comfortably, leaning back in her seat, turning her head to look at the person in the driver’s seat, with a slight smile on her lips.

As soon as she said that, the car Shi Wei started stalled.

He had been trying hard to keep himself calm and not let his mind wander.

But it seed like she didn’t want to let him off easily.

Shi Wei turned his head, eting her smiling eyes, and felt a surge of out-of-control impulse inside him that made it hard to drive the car away imdiately.

"Teacher Shi, drive, I’m hungry."

Shi Wei: "..."

She just had to provoke him, didn’t she?

But what could he do?

Besides thinking about it, he really didn’t dare to do anything to her.

The process needed to speed up so she could beco his girlfriend soon, and then he could openly do sothing about it.

Letting her provoke him like this!

Ah Chen looked at the beads of sweat on Shi Wei’s forehead, pulling out a tissue: "You’re sweating."

"Is it that hot?"

Shi Wei didn’t move, closing his eyes, letting her wipe the sweat from his forehead with the tissue.

A minute later, Ah Chen took the driving seat.

Shi Wei was already proficient at fastening her seatbelt, and even when she was in the driver’s seat, this job still fell to him.

"All set." Shi Wei got up, sat back in the passenger seat, and fastened his seatbelt.

Ah Chen was satisfied: "The seatbelt fastened by Teacher Shi is particularly secure."

Shi Wei thought he was probably dood in this lifeti.

Before eting her, he had never thought of having a significant other.

His only hobby was acting, playing various roles. He didn’t like getting too close to won, and as long as he wasn’t starring in romance dramas, most shows didn’t have any ambiguous scenes. Because of this, he had a public image of an old-fashioned gentleman.

Ah Chen drove carefully, catching glimpses of Shi Wei playing with his phone out of the corner of her eye, not knowing what he was doing.

As far as she knew, he certainly wasn’t just chatting.

The destination was a private dining restaurant, according to Shi Wei, one that specialized in mountain delicacies.

Twenty minutes later, they reached the destination, a very tranquil place.

Ah Chen liked this place a lot, following beside Shi Wei as they went in.

Seeing the joy in her eyes, Shi Wei felt relieved; he had searched for this place for a long ti.

He would much prefer to hold her hand as they went in rather than just lead her in, but they weren’t officially a couple yet.

The waiter led them to the entrance of a private room, and as the door gently pushed open, it was dark inside, considering it was already night.

Just at that mont, the lights turned on.

Ah Chen happened to be standing at the door, and though the arrangent wasn’t surprising, she was still very happy.

No need to count, that huge bunch of roses should be 999.

The private room door closed, and Shi Wei stood at the doorway, a bit nervous.

He knew he was rushing a bit, but he had wanted this for a long ti, especially since she kept teasing him, making him even more eager.

"Is this a eting gift?" Ah Chen asked.

Shi Wei’s heart sank; this grand scenario was not a eting gift, but he wanted her to be his girlfriend.

But since she asked like that, if he said it wasn’t, wouldn’t that make him seem too eager?

But he truly was very eager.

The torturous days had begun ever since he t her for the first ti, dreaming about her every night. Sotis he really doubted that if this went on for too long, he might beco that weirdo in his dreams.

A small box was also on the roses, and Ah Chen picked it up, glanced at it, then opened it. Inside was a diamond ring: "Teacher Shi, giving this as a eting gift seems a bit too precious, doesn’t it? If things don’t work out between us, you would feel awkward giving this ring to soone else, right? Reselling a diamond ring would lose at least half its value."

"You’re so impulsive."

Shi Wei only heard her ntioning the possibility that things wouldn’t work out between them.

He panicked completely.

"Am I not good enough?" he asked.

His handso face was tense, revealing nothing from the exterior, maintaining a certain seriousness. However, his fists were clenched, his mind flustered and anxious, and those crazy thoughts had surged into his mind. If he hadn’t restrained himself, he might have rushed over to grab her shoulders, threatening her.

If it didn’t work out, he would just lock her up, see if she’d dare to run away.

This was only in his imagination; ultimately, reason triumphed over madness, and he simply stayed rooted to the spot, asking whether he wasn’t good enough.

"Apart from you, I’ve never thought of giving a ring to anyone." Shi Wei’s star-like eyes were dim, "This was originally prepared for you. If we really don’t work out, it’s still yours; you can even refuse to throw it away. There’s no logic in taking back sothing that’s been given."

Thinking about that possible day made Shi Wei’s heart clench in agony.

He only thought about approaching her, pursuing her.

But he never considered the possibility that she might not agree.

Thinking about these scenarios made him both angry and sad, planning to do sothing about it, but he ultimately remained motionless. Facing that beautiful face, he couldn’t bring himself to do anything that would hurt her, feeling guilty even for raising his voice a little.

Shi Wei lowered his eyes; if she really wasn’t willing, to avoid doing anything dangerous, he would have to seek psychological assistance. If worst cos to worst, he would stay far away, locking himself in his house except for acting.

This would be better than always wanting to lock her up.

Suddenly, he felt sothing on his hand.

Looking over, it was a fair hand patting him.

"Teacher Shi, brave people enjoy the world first."

"Express what you want, making people guess is very tiring." Ah Chen handed the ring box to him again, asking once more, "Is this a eting gift, or sothing else?"

Shi Wei held the ring box, opened it, and the diamond ring inside glimred even brighter than before. He grasped her hand, his gaze incredibly sincere.

He seed to have liked her for a long ti.

Her appearance didn’t trigger love at first sight, but rather awakened the affection hidden deep within his soul.

Shi Wei’s voice was filled with endless tenderness and affection: "Could you be my girlfriend?"

"Of course."

As soon as she said that, Ah Chen’s finger was adorned with the diamond ring.

Shi Wei kept his eyes fixed on the ring, pondering that he couldn’t lock her in, but he could encircle her fingers with all kinds of rings.

Just so others would see at a glance that she was his.
