The Kunyuan Academy’s main building encompassed two parts.
One part was in Kunyuan County of the Dao Yuan Continent, where one-third of the entire county belonged to the Kunyuan Academy.
The remaining two-thirds of the county’s land consisted of lower-level academies of the Kunyuan Academy, as well as official lands and fief lands.
Within the academy, there was one cave heaven, two blessed lands, three spirit mountains, and sixteen spirit lakes.
There was only one entrance to the Kunyuan Cave Heaven, located here at the headquarters.
The two blessed lands were the Spirit Ruins Blessed Land and the Chongguang Blessed Land.
The three spirit mountains ranked among the top ten in the Nineteen States, and all the spirit lakes were within the top hundred.
According to ng Kun’s introduction, "There are only two blessed lands, three spirit mountains, and sixteen lakes because Kunyuan County is so limited in size. It’s not that we can’t cultivate more blessed lands, spirit mountains, or spirit lakes."
The Earth Advantage Sect nad things quite straightforwardly. The top-ranked spirit mountain in Great Zhou was called "Spirit Mountain," the second was "Qing Mountain," and the fourth-ranked spirit lake was called "Green Water Lake."
It wasn’t until the Emperor Wu Period that the nas were changed, as Emperor Wu liked to na mountains. For instance, the first-ranked was renad Wuling Mountain.
The minimum standard for a Doctor of Governance at the Kunyuan Academy’s main building was to hold a fourth-rank official position.
But rules are made by people, so ng Kun, the vice director, first arranged a preaching master position for Zhao Xing, then also appointed him as the "dean" of the Ksitigarbha Branch.
In other words, he beca ng Kun’s assistant at the Ksitigarbha Institute.
The two positions Zhao Xing held did not require a fourth-rank official position according to Great Zhou’s regulations, but as ng Kun’s assistant dean, he received treatnt equivalent to that of a Doctor of Governance.
This way, he could logically enjoy the benefits of studying top-level skills and entering blessed lands for comprehension.
"The five major branches of the academy are the Ksitigarbha Institute, the Spirit Mountain Institute, the Xuantu Institute, the Earth Palace Institute, and the Kunyuan Institute."
"I, as the vice director, oversee the Ksitigarbha Institute and the position in the Spirit Ruins Blessed Land," ng Kun said. "Changqing is in the Earth Palace Institute, he is a Five Classics Doctor, also holding a position in the blessed land."
Zhao Xing listened attentively. The position of Five Classics Doctor was a higher rank among Doctors of Governance. Gu Changqing held a significant position in the Earth Palace Institute, while ng Kun oversaw the Ksitigarbha Institute.
Thus, there would be no obstacles for him to learn the top-level Earth Palace Technique and Ksitigarbha Skill.
Because these two were the ones in power in the two institutes.
"Both Changqing and I are quite busy, with many matters to handle at the Spirit Ruins Blessed Land," ng Kun said. "Your further studies will mainly depend on yourself. We can only take two or three days each month to guide you."
"Thank you, sirs. I am deeply grateful," Zhao Xing said with cupped hands.
The Earth Advantage Sect was like this, always either working or on the way to doing work. Even when holding high positions, they were not idle, especially during the periods of Emperor Jing and Emperor Wu; the Earth Advantage Sect had more work to do.
As they needed to fight wars and expand territories, rapidly cultivating mature lands required a large deploynt of Earth Advantage Sect Ministers of Agriculture.
The Earth Advantage Sect also had close ties with the chanical School. Many Nong Family arrays and chanisms were led and set up by Earth Advantage Sect Ministers of Agriculture. They undertook nearly eighty percent of the workload.
Additionally, within the Military Minister of Agriculture Office, the number of those following the Earth Advantage Sect was higher because they were more keen on warfare. Chen Shijie, for example, was a die-hard fan of the Earth Advantage Sect.
When ng Kun and Gu Changqing said they were busy, they really weren’t just making excuses but were genuinely busy.
However, Zhao Xing didn’t mind.
Because learning the Earth Palace Technique and Ksitigarbha Skill didn’t require much guidance from teachers.
The main traits of these two spells were that they were "sustained spells."
Take the Earth Palace Technique, for instance. Once cast, it wouldn’t dissipate for a long ti.
The seventy-two Earth Palaces of Ten Suns Cave Heaven, Zhao Xing had initially studied by himself. They persisted and could be slowly dismantled for demonstration.
For instance, Gu Changqing set up the Jiyuan Palace inside Canghai Cave Heaven. Even from outside the cave, it lasted for two months without dissipating.
Unlike the Heavenly Ti Technique, which completed in a blink of an eye, hardly visible and therefore hard to comprehend.
The Ksitigarbha Skill and Earth Palace Technique lasted a long ti, and the Spirit Mountain Technique lasted even longer.
The casting steps and ti required for the Spirit Mountain Technique were the longest because transforming a mountain into a spirit mountain was not achievable in a re day or two.
Take a level-seven spirit mountain, for example, the shortest formation ti took a full eight years!
The longest duration had no real upper limit. For instance, the first-ranked "Spirit Mountain," which Kunyuan Academy aid to cultivate to a super nine-level state, had been nurtured for thirty-seven thousand years and counting.
The Spirit Mountain Technique sowhat resembled the Self Sect’s tree cultivation, passed down through generations, with the tree outliving the people.
The Earth Splitting Technique’s characteristic, like that of the Heavenly Ti Technique, was that it was rather quick and extrely destructive.
As for the Xuantu Skill, its trait matched its na, being elusive and profound. It was the hardest to learn, renowned for its escape skill, but it wasn’t limited to that. It embodied traits from the other four sects’ spells.
Many claid the Xuantu Skill was the ultimate form of the other four techniques because many spells were derived from it. Combining other spells into the Xuantu Skill resulted in even more powerful spells.
Yet, the Xuantu Skill had no ultimate form and couldn’t be definitively proven.
"You will reside in Kunshan from now on; this is the mountain I have nurtured," ng Kun said as he led Zhao Xing to a thousand-ter-high mountain. "It now stands at nine hundred and twenty-five ters."
Kunshan had many palaces and courtyards built along its slopes. As they flew over, Zhao Xing noticed the mountain exuded a faint glowing light, as if it were breathing.
"Kunshan was nurtured by my ntor for over two hundred years. When it was passed to , it was already eight hundred and fifty ters high. For the past fifty years, I have been practicing the Mountain Technique, drawing power from the earth veins to nourish it. But it has yet to break a thousand ters," ng Kun explained.
