The kingdom establishnt ceremony went by in a blur.
I didn't rember anything that happened since I wasn't in the right state of mind during the ceremony.
My mind was still on what happened with the priest.
I just still couldn't understand what he ant by his proposal.
Though the one thing that did pull out of my daze was seeing the priest go up on stage and offer the blessings of god on this new Nergiante Kingdom.
The way that he and his group did it was almost as if they were blessing this ceremony with the blessings of god.
It really felt strange seeing the priest act this way...
When the ceremony was over, I didn't stay around as I wanted to head back to the Kite Kingdom.
The most important thing for right now was getting back and discussing this matter with the others.
"So they really didn't have any other demands?" The pri minister asked in a strange voice after I told them what happened.
I slowly gave a nod in response before waiting to see what their reactions were, but it didn't seem like any of them had any special reactions. It seed like they all fell into deep thought with the looks on their faces.
Of course, I couldn't bla them for this since I had the sa reaction.
It was just that no matter how I thought about it, I couldn't figure out what the priest and the Holy Empire were planning. No matter how I thought about it, it didn't seem to make any sense at all.
There was a long and awkward silence that lingered in the room for a while.
It was finally broken by Rose who asked, "What will you do? It's clear that you already have a plan, so I want to know what you are thinking."
It wasn't just everyone else who was surprised by these words, I was also surprised and a bit caught off guard to be asked this by Rose all of a sudden.
In the end, there was a smile that had a trace of bitterness in it that appeared on my face as I looked at her.
It seed that she was able to read quite easily as she was able to figure out that there was already sothing that was on my mind.
While I wasn't able to figure out what the plans of the priest and the Holy Empire was, there was an idea that ford in my head on how to respond to this.
I took a mont to gather my thoughts before saying, "I'm planning on going with them."
The mont that they heard this, everyone looked at with deeply knitted brows.
It was clear by the looks on their faces that they didn't approve of this, but they held themselves back from reprimanding right away.
Rose was the one that broke the silence again as she asked, "Why?"
It was a single word, but the aning behind the word was vast.
There were many different emotions that were inside of this word, but the one that prevailed was worry.
She was worried that sothing would happen to if I were to actually go to the Holy Empire.
I didn't answer right away as I looked at her, but then I said, "It's simply because I want to learn more about this Mark of God. The best place to do that is the Holy Empire, right?"
They once again deeply knitted their brows when they heard this, but they didn't reprimand .
The way that they looked at was almost as if they didn't believe what I had just said.
It would be a lie to say that I believed what I said either.
After all, this was a bit of a lie.
So with a sigh, I said, "I want to protect everything that I care about and this is the best way to do that. It seems like they won't do anything as long as I cooperate with them this ti, so it'll be the best ti to get more information. At the sa ti, we all know that they won't give up no matter what."
Everyone still had deeply knitted brows on their faces, but they didn't deny what I said.
They all knew that I was speaking the truth, which was why they couldn't say anything. After all, if they were to allow to do this, it would be as if they were sacrificing to protect themselves.
I could naturally see what they were thinking, so I said, "I'm not doing this to sacrifice myself, I'll definitely be coming back. I'm doing this so I can keep my people safe and find out what they were planning, so stop looking at like that."
Though I tried to lighten the mood, it was clear that it didn't work.
After a long silence, Rose finally said with a sigh, "Sotis I wonder if it's a good thing or a bad thing that there are so many mysteries with you. If only you were a normal man...But then again, I wouldn't have fallen in love with you if that was the case." A slightly astringent smile appeared on her face as she said the latter half of this.
To the side, Angela and Cecilia revealed similar smiles.
The pri minister and the chancellor were the only ones that looked a bit awkward in this situation.
Taking a mont to gather herself, Rose then said, "It's not as if we can stop you, so let's think of ways to help you. I'm sure that we can co up with a few things that'll help you on your way to the Holy Empire."
The others were surprised to hear this at first, but then accepting looks appeared on their faces.
That was because they knew that Rose was right.
In that case, it was best to make the most of their ti and think of things that could help.
I couldn't help looking at them with a grateful look when I heard this.
