The others that had co with us revealed frowns the mont that they heard this.
Especially the royal guards that had co with and had been sticking close to the entire ti.
They weren't happy that the high elf was requesting to talk to alone.
But in the end, I said, "Alright, I'll talk to you alone."
Though they didn't seem like they were happy about this, they couldn't say anything in front of the high elf. They knew what would happen if they were to speak up against in front of the high elf.
At least in front of them, they had to put on a united front.
So in the end, they just accepted this and went outside.
Though before leaving, Klein did say, "We'll be right outside. If anything happens, we'll be here to help you at any mont.

Well, the one that he actually said it to didn't seem to mind that they were being spoken to like this. They had already taken a seat and looked at with a smile, as if they were just waiting for everyone else to leave.
Once everyone was gone, the high elf finally said with a smile, "It's strange that a human is the one that the Goddess of Life has chosen, but since that's the case...I guess that makes us family."
I was caught off guard when I heard this before looking at the high elf with a strange look.
Though it was true that Vivrum had given her Mark of God, this was sothing that no one else should have known about. The only one that should have known about this was Moon's grandmother since she was the only one that was there with when I received it.
If she didn't tell anyone, then...
Did that an that she had reported this to the Elven Kingdom without knowing?
No, it didn't feel like she would do sothing like this since we were close in the first place. Especially since I was already married to her granddaughter, so it wasn't as if she would betray her like that.
So how did this high elf know?
"How do I know?" The high elf suddenly asked with a smile.
I was once again caught off guard by this question, but after looking at the high elf with narrowed eyes for a bit, I slowly gave a nod in response.
The high elf just calmly said, "You should already know that we worship the Goddess of Life and protect her Trees of Life, so it's only natural that we've learned so things from her. That includes those that receive her favour."
I was surprised since I never thought that it would be Vivrum that would rat out like this.
The high elf didn't seem to care about the look on my face as they took out sothing from their Storage Ring.
The mont that this thing appeared, there was a mark that appeared on my forehead as if it was resonating with it. This mark had the sa kind of energy that was flowing in the thing that ca out of the high elf's Storage Ring.
This was the Mark of God that I received from Vivrum.
As for the thing that ca out of the Storage Ring, it seed to be so kind of stick.
However, it just wasn't any stick.
Even though this stick had been removed from the tree that it ca from, it seed like it was still full of life as it was covered in lush leaves. These were leaves that didn't seem like they were wilting, it seed like they were still growing.
That just didn't seem to make sense at all unless one knew what kind of branch this was.
This was a branch that ca from the Tree of Life and it was a mature Tree of Life that had lived for a long ti, being nurtured with Vivrum's power. That was why this branch was filled with life energy even though it had been removed from the Tree of Life.
That was also why it was able to create this resonance with the Mark of God on my forehead. "The mark really is sothing special, I never thought that I would be able to see it in my life." The high elf said with a sigh, as if they were impressed by what they saw.
I didn't like being manipulated like this, but now that they had already pulled this out, there was nothing that I could say.
The only thing that I could do was use this to my advantage.
"What did you co here for?" I said while narrowing my eyes.
The high elf slowly put the branch down in front of them before raising their hands to show that they ant no harm and saying, "I don't want to cause any trouble. We received an oracle to co and find you, which is why I'm here?"
"An oracle?" I repeated in a confused voice.
With a nod, the high elf said, "Lady Vivrum sent down an oracle for us to find her favoured one, the one that bore her mark. As long as we showed them this branch, we would be able to find them, that was what she said."
As expected, it was Vivrum that had ratted out.
Only...why did she do it?
She should have already known the bad relationship between and the elves because of what had happened, so why would she make them co and find ?
It didn't seem like she was helping , it really seed like she was trying to harm .
