When she was done laughing, Puffer suddenly said, "Very good, I admire this kind of determination. It was with the sa kind of determination that I ran away from ho and beca a witch all those years ago."
The way that she said this seed like she was going to...
"I'll teach you magic, so you'll be my disciple from this day forward." Puffer said in a serious voice, but that was soon ruined by what she said under her breath, "I'll be the only one that has taken a princess as a disciple before, right? I'll be able to brag about this to the others."
I really felt like I should say sothing, but the way that things developed had completely caught off guard that I really didn't know what to say.
Before I could say anything when I ca back to my senses, Ariel suddenly said, "I don't want to be your disciple."
"Huh?" Both Puffer and I looked at her with looks of shock once more.
The things that she did completely went against the script...
It really was hard to keep up with exactly what Ariel wanted with the way that she kept changing things up.
Puffer looked at Ariel for a bit as if she was trying to figure out if she was being serious or not.
Seeing that Ariel wasn't planning on taking her words back, Puffer said with a sigh, "If you're not going to beco my disciple, then there's no reason for to teach you about our magic. Rather, teaching you if you don't beco my disciple is dangerous, there's no telling what you'll do, so it's not sothing that I can do."
This was expected since there was nothing that was free in this world, but it didn't seem like Ariel was going to accept what Puffer said.
"I never said that I wanted to learn your magic, I just want to learn about your magic. That's two completely different things." She said this as if it was a natural thing.
We looked at Ariel with strange looks, but we had to admit that she was right.
The way that she had said it was as if she wanted to learn magic from Puffer, but that wasn't the case. There was a different way to interpret the words that she said, which was that she just wanted information about the kind of magic the sea witches could use.
There was an awkward silence that lingered in the air as Ariel waited for a response from Puffer.
Eventually, Puffer put her hand to her forehead as if she was exhausted and said with a sigh, "I'll think about it."
Ariel gave a simple nod before saying, "Alright, I'll wait for your response."
Puffer didn't say anything in response, she just turned to look at as if she was tired of talking to Ariel and said, "Co with , I'll bring you to where the crown prince and the Great Witch of Ice are waiting for you."
I gave a nod in response without saying anything since I didn't know what to say in this situation either.
I just knew that the more that I said, it seed that the more ideas Ariel had.
I didn't want her to have any more ideas, so I just gave a silent agreent.
After Puffer saw this, she also turned around and started walking out without a word. We followed behind her, but it seed like Ariel was looking at her in a strange manner.
Puffer could also feel the way that Ariel was looking at her, so she turned around from ti to ti to see Ariel looking right at her. She really didn't know what to say in response to this, so she simply turned around and pretended that she didn't see it.
Puffer led us out of the room that we were in and down a set of stairs into the basent of the bar.
After leading us down, we found that there was a tunnel here that seed to lead quite far into the distance. At least looking at it from where we were, we couldn't see the end of the tunnel.
It was hard to tell where she was leading us with this tunnel.
Puffer didn't say a thing as she walked down the tunnel on her own, as if she just expected us to follow her.
Ariel and I looked at each other, but in the end, we followed her.
I was surprised by this tunnel since I had never seen this tunnel before.
Even in the ga, this tunnel didn't exist.
However, that was more because of quick travel in the ga where the player character would directly be teleported to where the sea witches were after making contact with them here.
So this tunnel was never seen in the ga or explained.
As for Ariel, she was surprised by just how big the operation of the sea witches was in the capital of the rman Empire.
After leading us for a bit, we reached the end of the tunnel.
The end of the tunnel led to a large gate that was sealed shut.
This was a strange looking gate, or rather it was better to say that the wall that the gate was put in was quite strange. That was because this was a wall that almost seed like it was
made of flesh.
That was because it was one.
This wall was made from the flesh of the whale that the capital city was inside of.
That ant that this gate was actually a gate that led out of the capital city.
I already knew that we would be leaving the capital, which was why this was easy for to piece together.
However, when Ariel pieced it together, she deeply knitted her brows since she never expected this kind of secret entrance to the capital to exist.
After so ti, Ariel asked, "Where are we going?"
Puffer looked back at her and said with a smile, "Witch Gully."
