When the demons finally reached the borders of our Kite Kingdom, they suddenly ca to a stop.
We weren't surprised when we saw this since it had been written in the report that they had done the sa thing when they arrived at every human kingdom.
We were now just waiting for one of them to co forward to give us their demands like they had done previously.
There was a six ard demon that ca forward in the end.
He walked right up to the border and said, "Surrender your land and we will not attack. If you do not surrender, then know that you will suffer."
This ti, all of us were surprised by what the six ard demon said.
After all, none of us had expected him to say this.
From the reports that we had all read, this was not what the representative of this demon detachnt army had said to the other kingdoms.
They had demanded that the other human kingdoms open the path for them and let them pass. They didn't care at all about the lands of those other human kingdoms, they didn't even bother staying after defeating the armies of those human kingdoms.
So why did they suddenly change their goal like this?
It just didn't make any sense at all.
I could tell that people were slowly looking at , but I didn't show anything on my face.
At the sa ti, I understood why they were looking at . I could understand what they were thinking as they looked at .
I also thought that it might be related to ...or at least the things that I had done during this ti.

But it wasn't as if knowing this would change anything.
It was impossible to surrender to the demons, so there was only one way that this would end. "Fire!"
As soon as I gave this command, the wyverns that had been hiding in the clouds suddenly ca out and released their fla breaths.
This might be a cowardly thing to do, but it didn't matter.
All that mattered was defeating these demons and stopping them from going any further.
The flas that the wyverns released rained down on the demons. There were so demons that tried and successfully blocked the flas that ca at them. But most of the demons weren't able to block the fla breaths of the wyverns.
The wyverns were powerful and their flas couldn't be looked down on.
It was only natural that they wouldn't be able to block the flas of the wyverns.
After being hit by the flas of the wyverns, the demons that were hit with the flas seed like they would be burnt to a crisp.
But that didn't happen in the end.
There was this strange black energy that seed to co from the demons.
The strange black energy quickly surrounded the demons and put out the flas that were currently burning on the surface of their skin so that none of them were burnt to a crisp by the flas.
At the sa ti, it seed that this black energy was also healing them with the way that it writhed on their skins.
When it disappeared, the demons looked like they had returned to normal.
It was as if they had never been lit on fire.
Everyone was shocked when they saw this, but I was shocked for a different reason.
I could tell that Ariel and Puffer had the sa reaction as , though it seed like Puffer had
a trace of excitent in her expression that was different from us.
We recognized what happened with the demons.
It was like what had happened with the corrupted sea creatures, even if it wasn't exactly the
sa.
When these corrupted demons were in danger, the corruption energy ca out to save them. It not only protected them from what was hurting them, it also healed the injuries that they suffered.
This was just like what happened with the corrupted sea creatures.
But there wasn't too much ti to dwell on this.
When the detached demon army ca back to their senses, they knew that we wouldn't listen to them.
So they started attacking in different ways.
There were many different tribes of demons that made up this army, so they had many different ways of attacking. There were so that charged at us as if they wanted to fight close up and there were so that used long ranged attacks on us.
With the different attacks that they used, it was as if they were covering for each other.
Only these were the strongest attacks that they had, so they weren't simply covering for each other. These were powerful attacks that were ant to destroy the ones that they were aid
at.
However, they didn't hit their targets.
The wyverns had recovered, so they were able to release a second wave of fla attacks at the demons that intercepted the long range attacks. At the sa ti, there were so flas that deterred the charging demons from approaching our lines.
"Charge!"
When the demons stopped, that was when I gave the orders for our n to charge.
They didn't hesitate at all as they charged at the demons that had stopped behind the lines of
flas.
The demons seed surprised that we would charge at them, but they didn't remain surprised for long. They looked like they were ready to face our n head on, they looked like they were confident in their strength to take on our soldiers.
Though it wasn't strange that they would feel this way since demons were naturally stronger
than humans.
It was just that the demons didn't get the clash that they hoped for.
That was because there were bone hands that suddenly ca out of the ground.
