There was this dark energy that seeped out from this mass that was ford before collapsing in on itself again. When it collapsed like this, it was as if it was condensing all of this dark
energy into a single spot.
Seeing this, Moon and I naturally didn't want to let this happen and we tried using the earth tendrils and roots to stop it.
It was just that the power of the dark energy was too much for us to stop.
The dark energy even seed to corrupt the land that was around the mass, so we had to create our earth tendrils and roots further away from the mass itself.
When it reached the mass, there was so smoke that appeared from the dark energy around it.
But at the sa ti, it seed that the earth tendril and the roots were also breaking up because of the dark energy. Even if it was purifying the dark energy, it didn't seem like it was doing it fast enough that the dark energy was actually being properly broken down.
It seed that at this rate, the thing that was gathering was going to form.
Eventually, there was a roar that ca from the mass.
This was a roar that suddenly cut through the air and even seed to make the ground shake with its power.
When the dark energy explored, it revealed a large figure that was standing there.
This was a single large figure that seed to be covered in armour, but its head was strangely revealed.
That was because instead of a helt, there was this black crown that was on its skeletal head.
The only thing that was missing was the flas that showed that this undead was actually alive.
But the pressure that was released the mont that this creature appeared was more than enough to show that it wasn't anything ordinary. It was enough to show that this thing was without a doubt dangerous.
Then all of a sudden, blue flas appeared in the eyes of this being.
As soon as the blue flas appeared, the pressure that was coming from it beca even more intense.
The earth tendrils and roots that had been around this creature were suddenly pulled down as if they were being dragged down by gravity.
That was just how intense the natural mana that this creature released was.
At the sa ti, it was a perfect demonstration of how strong this creature really was.
The mont that this creature fully appeared, I imdiately recognized it for what it was.
But the fact that this creature had appeared in a place like this was shocking enough.
Death King.
That was the na of this undead creature.
The reason that it was known as the Death King was because of how high up it was in the hierarchy of undead.
Unlike the Dullahan from before that was only near the SS Rank, this Death King was a real SS Rank Monster.
It was a kind of monster that would have shown up at the late ga stages of the gas, so it was strange that it had appeared at a ti like this. After all, this was still considered part of the early ga, it hadn't even reached the midga yet.
However, there was this kind of powerful SS Rank Monster that had appeared.
It seed that the tiline of this world based on the ga had really twisted if even a SS Rank Monster was appearing at a ti like this.
But this wasn't the ti to be thinking about this.
After all, it was a fact that there was a SS Rank Monster that had appeared.
A SS Rank Monster was a completely different story compared to a Dullahan that was only close to reaching the SS Rank.
Just breaking through to the SS Rank ant that this Death King had power that was far beyond the Dullahan.
To prove it, the first thing that the Death King did was raise its hands and summon a bunch of Death Knights around it.
These were Death Knights that had been summoned out of thin air, coming out of the ground like nothing.
There wasn't even material used to raise the Death Knights, these were Death Knights that had been created with pure mana alone.
That was just how strong a single Death King was.
It was nad this way because it was a ruler of life and death.
Far greater than any lich out there.
Once it raised these Death Knights, the Death King raised the sword in its other hand and released a single slash.
The two Elental Death Knights that were near it just couldn't react at all the dark energy slashes that suddenly hit them. They were cut in half by the swing of the Death King.
But at the sa ti, it seed that there was sothing that prevented them from reforming.
The dark energy of the Death King seed to corrupt the two Elental Death Knights that were hit, preventing them from reforming even though they were still drawing on my mana. The dark energy didn't stop there as it started creeping towards a certain point.
In no ti at all, the dark energy reached the center of the Elental Death Knights where the
orbs were.
The dark energy seed to surround the orb before pulling them out of the Elental Death Knights. After pulling them out, the dark energy just floated with the orb for a bit before moving towards the Death King.
As for the Elental Death Knights that had these orbs pulled out of them, they just fell apart as if they were toys that lost all of their energy.
It seed that the Death King had a close connection to the orbs that were used to imbue elental energy into the Elental Death Knights, so they weren't able to resist at all when they were pulled out.
It seed that this Death King had sothing to do with the source of the corruption energy...
