I was leaving the castle of the king of the Lockhart Kingdom, but that didn't an that I was leaving the Lockhart Kingdom.
As he watched leave in the carriage that he prepared, the king of the Lockhart Kingdom seed to have a bitter look on his face.
It was as if he felt that he had missed so kind of opportunity.
That was because I was currently heading towards the manor of the sly looking noble with Ann.
After that night with her, I was bringing her back to see her husband.
That was a clear sign to the others that I had enjoyed being with her, which was why I went to see that sly looking noble so soon.
I didn't bother clearing up this misunderstanding.
In fact, I was actually using this misunderstanding to my advantage since I wanted to catch the sly looking noble off guard. The best way to do that was to let him think that his plan had worked.
Those that thought that they had succeeded were those that let their guards down the most.
One was the most vulnerable when they thought that they had won.
That was the best mont to strike.
As we were heading towards the manor of the sly looking noble, there seed to be a worried look that was on Ann's face. I could see it all since she was sitting in the seat across from mine.
So I asked, "What are you worried about?"
Ann looked up at with that sa worried look and after a mont of hesitation, she asked, "Are you sure about this plan?"
A faint smile appeared on my lips when she asked this before I said, "I'm certain about this plan. The only thing that I'm really worried about is if you will have the courage to go through with this plan. If not, then we might have a problem."
"You don't have to worry about that. I hate him with every fiber of my being and I can't wait to see him get what he deserves. In fact, I even think that death is too easy for soone like him." Ann said through gritted teeth that went to show just how much rage was inside of her.
I gave a satisfied nod when I saw her like this before saying, "Then there's nothing to worry about. I promise you that I'll take care of the rest."
She slowly nodded in response, but the look of worry was still in her eyes.
However, I didn't say anything else since I knew that no words would be able to convince her.
The only thing that would be able to convince her would be actions.
I would wait to show her what I ant by this.
It didn't take long for us to arrive at the manor of the sly looking noble. This sly looking noble was soone that cared very much about his own power and naturally that ant that he built his manor very close to the castle.
It was a way to show just how much power he actually wielded in this Lockhart Kingdom.
At the sa ti, I was surprised to find out that he was actually a duke of the Lockhart Kingdom which was more than enough to prove his status. Soone like him was able to beco a duke, it really was sothing that one didn't expect…
Once we arrived, I could see that there were many people that were around the manor that seed to be watching us.
There was no need to think to know that these were the spies that the other nobles had sent to watch over us.
But I wasn't worried when I saw them, rather I even revealed a smile after seeing that there were spies here. After all, I wanted as many people as possible to know that I ca to see the sly looking noble.
Only then would my plan work.
Once we arrived at the gates, we found the sly looking noble waiting there for us.
Regardless of what kind of person he was, I had to admit that he was soone that knew how to kiss butt. He was soone that knew how to play the political ga and get what he wanted, even if I didn't agree with the way that he did this.
"Your majesty, I never thought that you would be back so soon. It seems that my wife has made quite the impression on you."
Seeing him say this in a shaless manner with a wide smile on his face, I really couldn't help feeling strange about all of this.
But since I had committed to this plan, there was no turning back now.
With a nod, I said, "She certainly has made quite the impression on , which is why I ca to discuss sothing with you."
The sly looking noble's smile beca even wider when he heard this, but he held himself back as he gestured towards the manor and said, "Then shall we go in and talk?"
I gave a simple nod in response before letting him lead the way.
When we entered the manor, a trace of disgust filled .
This man really was a case of judging the book by its cover.
All around the manor were maids in skimpy outfits that seed like they were more here for sothing other than cleaning.
The sly looking noble didn't seem fazed at all as he led the way into the main living room. Then he had the maids bring so tea over before dismissing them, though they didn't actually leave the room as they just stood behind him.
They stood in a way so that they would be facing who was sitting in front of him.
Even the way that they stood seed strange, almost as if they were trying to show off their bodies.
When they did all this, it was hard to miss what they were doing.
In the end, he really was soone that was sleazy all the way.
