Since I didn't feel that it would be a good thing to destroy it, I said, "No, I won't destroy it."
"Huh?" Everyone was caught off guard when they heard this before looking like they wanted to say different things to convince otherwise.
Only before any of them could actually do that, I raised the Staff of Earth in my hand and raised a ball of dirt around the seed. It was as if the seed of corruption sensed the danger that ca from this dirt that surrounded it, so it pulled back the corruption energy that it was releasing.
That allowed the dirt that gathered around it to easily envelop it and suppress it.
Just like that, the seed of corruption was sealed.
"We gain more from studying it than destroying it right away. Since there's a way to seal it, we should try to learn what we can from it."
The ones from the Holy Empire didn't seem to think the sa thing as with the looks on their faces, but it didn't seem like they could say anything since I used the Staff of Earth to seal the seed of corruption.
As mbers of the Holy Empire, it was only natural that they would be able to sense the divine energy that was coming from this Staff of Earth. They were able to easily tell that this was a divine relic.
So to say anything about a divine relic would be hard for these people from an empire that was built on worshipping the gods.
As for the pri minister…
It seed that he was struggling at first with this, but he eventually said with a sigh and a nod, "Alright, you're right. It would be a waste to destroy it like this without actually taking a closer look at it."
Since it had been sealed, there was no need for to personally transport it.
In fact, there was soone that had rushed over when they heard about what happened and was very excited to take a look. I didn't say anything about the way that Puffer acted since she was the one that would be studying this thing in the first place.
It really didn't seem like she acted as a visitor, she acted like this was her place.
Still, she was more than helpful because of the abilities that she had and that was more than enough to overlook things.
After the seed of corruption was brought away, I turned to Chris and Leon to ask, "What have you been up to lately?"
They were supposed to be assigned to , which ant that they should have been assigned to stay in our Kite Kingdom. However, the pri minister had said earlier that they had been off handling sothing else.
The only thing that could pull them away was another order from the Holy Empire, so I was curious what it had been about.
Or rather, I couldn't help feeling suspicious about it since it seed that sothing was off. I just didn't have ti to think about it earlier because of the matter of the spreading corruption energy, but now that the corruption energy had been taken care of.
The two of them revealed awkward looks when they heard what I said.
They could clearly hear the tone that I said these words in, so they knew what I was really asking them.
After a mont of hesitation, Chris said with a sigh, "We were pulled away because there was another matter that we needed to handle. It's related to what happened in this place."
"Related? It ans that there was corruption energy that appeared sowhere else?"
Both the pri minister and I knitted our brows at the sa ti, so I could tell that he had figured it out too.
Chris just gave a nod with a serious look on his face before telling us what happened.
It turned out that there was another small kingdom that had the sa thing happen to them. There was this wave of corruption energy that suddenly appeared and they had been called to help purify it.
This small kingdom was a vassal of the Holy Empire, which was why they had been pulled away like this.
And since it was a vassal of the Holy Empire, that ant that it wasn't just Chris and Leon's group that was called there. There had been two other groups that were called in as well to handle this matter.
"The corruption energy that was there was newly discovered, so it wasn't as strong as it was here."
What he was implying was that if it had been stronger, then they wouldn't have been able to handle it that easily. If it had been stronger, then they would have needed to request help.
If it was stronger, the only thing that would have been able to purify it would be a divine relic.
In that case, they would have asked for help.
But there was sothing that I still had to say, "If there was a seed of corruption here, why wouldn't there be one there as well?"
This had completely been missed by Chris and Leon.
Though it couldn't be blad on them since they had just found out about the seed of corruption after seeing it for the first ti here.
After knitting his brows for a bit, Chris waved his hand at one of the holy knights nearby and said, "Send a ssage to the Yotel Kingdom."
The holy knight didn't even need to ask what the ssage was as he gave a nod and headed off.
As I was about to say sothing, there was another person that ran over.
This was one of the crew mbers of the Holy Empire's airship, specifically the one that was in charge of sending ssages. This was the person that the holy knight had gone off to find.
But there was a reason why this person had run over here.
