The way that the corruption was appearing, it really seed like there was sothing that was behind it.
At the sa ti, it really seed like there was a path that they were following.
So instead of going to each of the places where the new sources of corruption were appearing, we were actually heading to the place that was along the path. We were heading ahead of the path to see if we could intercept the thing that was creating all this corruption energy.
If we could find it and stop it…
Well, it was already a long shot, but it was better than doing nothing.
After all, there had been no clues about why the corruption energy had suddenly appeared like this.
After the war with the demons last ti, things had just been too quiet…
People even started to wonder if there really was a mastermind behind all of this.
But now that the corruption energy had appeared once more, there was no doubt that there was a mastermind behind all of this.

Regardless of what their reasoning was, the most important thing was finding who was the one spreading the corruption and stopping them from spreading even more corruption.
If we were able to get so information from that person, then that would be even better.

"Are you sure that this is the right place?" I asked Chris and Leon as we floated there in the air looking at all the empty space in front of us.
Even though we had rushed ahead of the thing that was spreading the corruption energy and had arrived in the spot that person should have been at, it didn’t seem like we were able to find anything.
It wasn’t that they had already dropped the corruption energy and left, it was just that there weren’t any traces of them at all.
It was as if they had suddenly stopped what they were doing.
It was as if they had been satisfied with the amount of corruption energy that they had spread, so there was no need for them to do anything else.
But if that was the case, then it ant that we had made the wrong choice coming to this place ahead of ti to try and catch that person.
Chris and Leon looked carefully at the map, but there really wasn’t anything that they could say. No matter how they looked at it, this really was the right place for the ambush.
If there was nothing here, then there was nothing here.
"Spread and search. See if you can find any traces." I said with deeply knitted brows.
Klein and the others imdiately nodded in agreent before spreading out on their wyverns.
Chris and Leon seed like they wanted to go as well, but I stopped them.
They only had a single airship that was holding all of the holy knights and the priests.
Unlike the Klein and the others who were on wyverns, having them search wasn’t as effective since they couldn’t split up. At the sa ti, if they were to go and search, it wasn’t as if they would be using their full potential.
Rather, it was better for them to stay with until the end.
If sothing happened, at least they would be able to help fight off whatever ca with their holy magic.
But since they were just sitting there without doing anything, they couldn’t help feeling awkward.
It was their intelligence that led us here in the first place, so to not do anything now just felt awkward for them.

I wasn’t paying attention to it at first since I was focused on sothing completely different, but then the light was too hard to ignore. At the sa ti, there was a light that ca from under .
It was the Mark of God that had been on Joan’s head that appeared as well.
There was nothing that we did to prompt them to appear, but they had appeared all of a sudden like this.
Seeing this, I couldn’t help slightly knitting my brows.
For them to appear like this, it was clear that there was sothing that provoked this reaction from the Marks of God that we possessed. The only thing that had done that previously was the seed of corruption.
So did that an that there was a seed of corruption nearby?
Or perhaps it was sothing that was related to the seed of corruption?
I raised my hand and started using the Mark of God as a kind of sensor, but there wasn’t much of a chance from the Mark of God.
Instead, I had to rely on Joan.
Though I didn’t even know she had this ability at first.
She suddenly turned in a direction and looked like she was interested in sothing.
"Go on, follow it." I said after seeing her like this.
Joan just gave a soft roar of acknowledgent before she started flying in the direction that she was facing.
As we continued going in that direction, I could tell that the light from the Marks of God were getting stronger.
After a while, we finally saw sothing in front of us.
This was a thing that was flying in the air, but it was a very strange object that was there.
It seed to be so kind of flying object that was covered in this layer of sothing.
It was as if it was dragging a cloak of darkness behind it.
