When the key was pointed at the lock, the sa thing as before happened where there was a light that appeared around the key.
That light reached a peak when it was pointing right at the lock and it released a beam of light.
This beam of light entered the lock and then made the door start to glow as well.
It didn't take long before the lock clicked and the door opened.
Behind the door was the sa thing as before.
It was another pedestal and there was sothing on it.
The only thing that was different was the item that was on the pedestal.
Instead of an orb like before, this thing seed to be so kind of cloth. It almost seed like so kind of handkerchief with the design that it had.
Seeing this, it wasn't just who was confused.
The rest of our group was just as confused as when we saw this handkerchief on the pedestal.
There was one thought that went through all of our minds.
"Is this the Relic of Destruction?"
None of us made a move after seeing the door open, we just stood there and looked at the handkerchief on the pedestal. All of us were waiting to see if sothing would co from this handkerchief.
What happened last ti had naturally been reported as well, so they were all wary of any sudden explosion of corruption energy.
Only it didn't seem like the handkerchief was going to do anything.
It seed like a regular handkerchief with the way that it just laid there on that pedestal.
However, everyone knew that it was anything but that. For it to be sealed behind this door in these ruins, that ant that this was the Relic of Destruction that they were looking for.
Seeing that there was no response from the handkerchief, I finally took a step forward.
But before I could step into the room, the saintess suddenly ca forward and said, "Holy son, please let do this."
She didn't hesitate to step in front of and wanted to reach into the room, but before she could…
There was this screen of light that appeared where the door had been previously and it stopped her from entering the room. This screen of light seed to be so kind of divine barrier that was keeping her out of the room.
The saintess couldn't help knitting her brows when she saw this before trying to push through the screen of light once again.
However, it didn't matter what she did, she just wasn't able to push through.
It seed that this screen of light was determined in keeping her out.
Even when she used her holy magic, even when she prayed, even when she pulled out a divine relic…It seed that no matter what, she just wasn't allowed to enter this room that contained the Relic of Destruction.
When the saintess failed like this, there were others that wanted to try the sa thing.
However, all of them were kept out by this screen of light.
After a certain point, they even seed desperate as the holy knights and priests started gathering their holy energy inside of the saintess. It seed that they were planning on having the saintess be their representative in trying to make it through the screen of light.
But even with all of them buffing her with holy magic and even directly sending their holy magic into her, it didn't seem like it was going to work.
It seed that this screen of light was determined to keep the saintess out.
That was when I finally stepped in.
I had been curious about whether the saintess would be able to do this since it could an that she would take my place in many situations like this, but it seed like it wasn't possible.
Since it wasn't possible, there was no need to waste any more ti like this.
The saintess and the others were occupied with trying to make it through the screen of light that they didn't notice until I was already right up in front of it. At the sa ti, they couldn't stop in ti as I went towards the screen of light.
The mont that I made contact with that screen of light, there was this light that ca from my hand.
It was of course the Mark of God that was showing itself.
As I went forward, that light soon ford a layer of light around that allowed to make my way through the screen of light. There was nothing stopping at all as I made my way through the threshold of this door.
I quickly made my way over to the handkerchief on the pedestal, but I didn't reach out towards it.
Instead, I created a layer of ice around the handkerchief and waited to see if anything would happen.
Only when I saw that there was no reaction from the handkerchief did I slowly release the ice.
This ti, I made sure to reach out with the hand that still had the glowing Mark of God on it.
There was no reaction that ca from the Mark of God this ti as I picked up the handkerchief.
"Is that it?"
That was the only thing that I could think of as I looked at the handkerchief.
I had been worried that the God of Destruction would try sothing just like last ti, but it really seed like there was nothing wrong with this handkerchief. It seed like the God of Destruction wasn't even connected to this relic of theirs.
However, I could tell that this was indeed the relic since there was a similar sensation coming from the Relic of Destruction.
If I wanted, I could use it to create the destruction energy…
If nothing was going to happen with this Relic of Destruction, then the only thing left was to bring this thing to a place a seal it.
