In the end, I was able to get the saintess to stand up again and separate myself from this circle of holy knights and priests.
Though they circled us, they didn't actually stop from leaving the circle.
The only reason that they created that circle in the first place was just to make sure that no one would interfere with the saintess as she did her thing. But if I were to move away, they naturally couldn't stop .
At that point, it was direct contact and it was impossible for them to ignore it.
So they had no choice but to move aside.
It seed like the saintess wanted to do a few more things, but I had support.
Moon and Aisha had co out to see what was happening and when they saw what the saintess was doing, they had prepared everything. All of the royal guards had already saddled up and were prepared to leave.
I was the only one that wasn't on Joan yet, so I didn't delay and jumped onto Joan right away.
As soon as I jumped onto Joan, Moon was the one that gave the order for us to go.
The royal guards didn't have a problem with following her order since she was the queen in the first place. It was only natural to follow the orders of the royal family for them.
Though at the sa ti, they knew exactly what they were doing which was why they had no hesitation following this order.
I couldn't help feeling a bit touched when I saw them like this.
Once we were in the air, that was when I finally said, "I trust that you'll be able to bring the Relic of Destruction back to be sealed. I still have so other things to take care of, so I won't co with you."
After saying that, I didn't waste any ti in flying off with the rest of the royal guards.
In the end, the only holy knights that followed us was Chris and Leon's airship.
They had been assigned to the Kite Kingdom in the first place and they had only co with us since it was part of their duties. But it wasn't as if they would return to the Holy Empire in the first place since they were still technically supposed to be watching over .
Their mission was to protect , but really it was watching over just in case anything happened.
What I didn't see was the bitter look that was on the saintess' face as she watched us fly away.
If I had seen that look, I would have felt a sense of danger.
After all, the way that she looked at us wasn't just any look. The way that she watched us fly away was the look that one would have if they looked at soone they cared about very much…
This had a very dangerous implication…
After we left the area, I let out a sigh of relief before turning to Moon to say, "Thanks for saving ."
She just gave a simple nod and a sound of agreent, but she didn't say anything.
I couldn't help feeling a bitter feeling when I saw her like this. So the only thing that I could do was turn to look to Aisha as if I was asking her for help.
Only it didn't seem like Aisha was interested in helping .
Though it wasn't because she was feeling the sa thing as Moon.
Rather, it looked like Aisha was thinking about sothing and it seed like she was feeling conflicted because of these thoughts.
It really seed like she was completely lost in her thoughts based on the look that was on her face.
I couldn't help slightly knitting my brows when I saw her like this.
Eventually I asked, "What's wrong? What are you thinking about?"
Moon also slowly turned to look at Aisha behind her as well after hearing this.
It didn't seem like Aisha heard us at first as she had the sa look on her face, but eventually she slowly looked up at as if she was realizing that I was talking to her.
Though she was looking at , it didn't seem like she was planning on saying anything with how she continued to look at like this. It really seed strange that she just looked at like this without saying anything.
But in the end, it was Moon that pulled her out of this state.
Moon grabbed Aisha's hand and gave it a squeeze as if she was comforting her.
Aisha looked at her for a mont before suddenly giving a sigh and saying, "I was just thinking about the Relic of Destruction and the ruins that they were in. It felt like I've seen them sowhere before and I finally figured out where."
"Of course you've seen them before. You were trapped in one previously, right?" I said this as if to explain it, but I knew that this wasn't what she was talking about. I also felt that there was sothing off and couldn't help slightly knitting my brows.
In the end, Aisha just shook her head and said, "That's not what I'm talking about and you know it. It's sothing completely different."
I didn't say anything as I just gave a nod and waited for her to explain.
Aisha gave a sigh before saying, "It's sothing that I've seen in the Elven Kingdom back then. There was this place that was like the ruins that I was trapped in, which was why I was interested in that place to begin with."
My chin dropped the mont that I heard this.
"Can you not drop this kind of important information all of a sudden? Not to ntion, this really is the kind of information that should be given ahead of ti!"
That was what I thought, but I kept myself calm enough that I didn't blurt it out in the end.
Though the look on my face was a completely different story.
