When we arrived at the gates, I was surprised to see how many elves were waiting there.
It wasn't just the number of elves that were there that I was surprised by, but rather the fact that none of them had any hostility to them.
With the way that they gathered, it really seed like all of them had gathered to welco VIP guests.
I didn't think that we were important enough to be treated like this, but this was how they had gathered.
Only I wasn't surprised to find that they hadn't gathered for .
They were gathered here for a different person.
"It's Miss Aisha!"
"She's finally back!"
"She's my idol!"
They had only gathered here because they had heard that Aisha was also coming. And the mont that we landed, it was only Aisha's wyvern that had been surrounded by the elves that had been by the gate.
It wasn't easy for Aisha to avoid them since the wyvern that she was riding was Moon's wyvern.
Moon had asked her wyvern to take her mother to the Elven Kingdom capital and since it was Moon's mother, the wyvern had no choice but to obey. But it wasn't as if the two of them were that close in the first place.
Since there was no bond between them, it was hard for Aisha to give the wyvern orders and it didn't take long for them to be surrounded.
At the sa ti, since we were here on a delegation mission, it wasn't as if she could actually hurt any of the elves.
So the only thing that Aisha could do was watch as she was surrounded. The only thing that she could do was turn to look at as if she was asking for help.
Only it was hard for to do anything for her.
Since we were guests in the Elven Kingdom, it wasn't as if there was much that I could actually do. If I were to do sothing that offended them, that ant that we would be ruining our own plan.
The only thing that I could do for her was look back at her with a gaze that said, "Just endure it for now."
A bitter look appeared on Aisha's face when she saw this, but there was nothing that she could do about this. The only thing that she could actually do was just accept that she was surrounded and start talking to the elves around her.
If she didn't, all that would happen is that they would beco more and more rowdy and that would beco dangerous.
While Aisha was surrounded by these elves, there was another group of elves that actually approached us.
Among this group was a familiar face.
It was the sa high elf that had co to visit the Kite Kingdom previously to deliver the branch of the Tree of Life. However, this high elf wasn't the only one that was in this group.
This high elf was the one that greeted us though.
It seed that the other high elves had made this one their leader since they were the only one that had talked to previously. As such, it was easier for that high elf to talk to than the others.
"Your majesty, it's an honour to have you co to our Elven Kingdom. We've long hoped that you would visit us." The high elf said with a wide smile.
I couldn't help being a bit surprised by the greeting of this high elf.
After all, I couldn't see a trace of deceit in her eyes at all.
It seed that she was being genuine about this.
It wasn't this high elf alone that had this look, the other high elves seed to have the sa look on their faces.
Seeing this just confused even more since I had no idea why they would be acting like this.
Was it all because of Vivrum?
It didn't seem like her oracle alone would be enough for the high elves to be acting like this…
So why were they treating like this?
There had to be sothing to gain from the high elves for them to be acting this way, but I had no idea what it was.
Since I had no idea…
"It's an honour for to be allowed in the Elven Kingdom. I never thought that I would ever be invited as a guest to the Elven Kingdom. This is an illusory place that all humans have wanted to visit." I said in my best attempt to flatter them.
The high elves just looked at with the sa smiles on their faces when they heard this, but I could tell that they weren't actually moved by these words of flattery.
It seed that they were more than capable of giving complints and receiving them.
It seed that these high elves were very skilled with dealing with foreign diplomats.
Even though the Elven Kingdom sealed themselves off, it seed that there were still those that were trained in the ways of interacting with other countries.
Though that wasn't really as surprising since there was always this need in this world.
The only thing that I really felt was disappointnt since I wouldn't be able to get anything out of them.
After exchanging these words, the representative of the high elf group said, "Your majesty, if you don't mind, please follow us. Our majesty has already prepared a welco banquet for you and is currently waiting for your presence."
I was once again surprised since I didn't expect the Elven Kingdom to go this far.
I really thought that all that we would receive is the normal welco that any delegation would get and would have to wait to et the Elven King. But it seed like they were as anxious to et as I was to et them.
So it wasn't exactly a bad thing…
"Then please lead the way." I said with a smile to the high elf.
With that we were led to the large castle in the distance.
