Stretching out the vine again to demonstrate how strong it was, I added, "This is an item that is very useful to humans."
The elder raised a brow as if she was doubtful of this, but I didn't mind since I understood that she wouldn't understand.
Even if the elder had spent quite a bit of ti around humans because of the trade between the elven village and my Kite Kingdom, it didn't an that she knew everything there was about humans.
It ant that there were many products that humans had that she didn't know the intricacies of.
Since she didn't know the intricacies of those products, it ant that she didn't understand how the vine could be used in these things.
As such, I had to explain it to her.
When I was done, the eyes of the elder were completely different.
She didn't even look at as she looked at the vine that I was holding.
The look in her eyes was almost as if she was so kind of predator that was looking at her prey.
It made a bit uncomfortable being part of what was being looked at by her, but I just waited for her to finish what she was doing.
In the end, she didn't even say anything to as she started looking around at the vines around us.
The place that we were in was the habitat of these vines, so there were plenty of these vines all around us. As long as one reached out, it wouldn't be that hard to grab so of these vines.
The one thing to note was that while these vines were resistant to stretching, they were actually quite easy to cut. That ant that it would be very easy to adjust the size of the vine to fit the needs of whoever wanted to use them.
It seed strange that a vine would be this strong against stretching and this weak against cutting, but that was just how the vine was designed.
I didn't think too deeply about it.
After a long silence, that was when the elder turned back to look at .
The look in her eyes sent a chill down my spine, but she still said, "How much would you be willing to pay for these vines?"
I didn't respond right away as I thought about what to say, but in the end, I said, "I don't know."
The elder narrowed her eyes to look at as if she was accusing of playing around with her.
However, I just said, "This isn't the thing that I normally take care of. Even if I'm the king, that doesn't an that I personally take care of everything and know all this information off the top of my head."
She still looked at with narrowed eyes, but it seed that she at least knew where I was coming from.
That was because I could see her looking at Aisha out of the corner of her eyes.
In the end, the elder just said, "Then I'll just discuss this with soone that knows what this will be worth. I think I can have Haley help move these items."
A trace of bitterness appeared on my face when I heard this.
This was what I was about to suggest, but the elder beat to it.
While it was indeed the best option, it was just strange to have the elder say it before I could. It was almost as if she was taking my role away from with the way that she said this.
Still, I held back that feeling since I knew that this was the best course of action.
Even if she was stepping over to do this, it was still for the best since I didn't know anything about this matter.
But it still made feel a bit depressed.
At the sa ti, there was sothing else that distracted .
"Is there anything else?" The elder asked after she finished looking at the vines.
The way that she asked this was as if she was trying to see how much she could get out of . It was as if she was trying to get as much as possible out of during this ti.
The vines should have been enough to help stabilize the conditions of the Elven Kingdom, so for her to ask for more was as if she was being greedy.
But I knew that this wasn't the case.
I could see it in her eyes that she was just being cautious.
After all, it wasn't as if it was guaranteed that these vines would sell.
What the elder was doing was just trying to set up as many safety nets as possible just in case this matter with the vines failed.
As such, I went around looking for a few more things.
I wouldn't give them enough information that it would collapse the economy or build the economy of the elves too much, but I would give them a few ideas so they had a bit of flexibility.
Each ti, the elder asked many different questions about the item that I picked out and I would just answer the questions that she had to the best of my abilities.
Though it wasn't as if I knew everything about these things.
So the only thing that I could do was answer with what I did know.
It didn't seem like the elder was satisfied with my answers, but it wasn't as if there was anything that she could do about it since this was all that I knew. Even if I wanted to give a more detailed answer, there really wasn't anything that I could say.
So instead, the only thing that I could do was distract her with sothing else.
"The scenery in this place is quite nice." I said all of a sudden to the surprise of everyone here.
