In the end, no one was satisfied.

Since he wasn’t able to split us up into different groups, he chose to compromise by making sure that no one would be able to move freely.
Instead of creating groups to move around the ruins in, it beca a sort of guided tour where the teachers would be leading the students around the places that had already been explored.
It was clear that the students had been looking forward to exploring the ruins, but that chance was taken away because we were going with them.
If it wasn’t the Azure Sage that had changed the plans of the field trip, then there would have been plenty of complaints.
That just went to show the status that a sage had in the Sorcery Empire.
They were the strongest magicians that were in the Sorcery Empire, the ones that the country depended on to face the pressure from the other countries. So it could be said that they were the backbone of the Sorcery Empire.
That was why there was no one that went against the decisions of a sage.
Still, it was clear that they weren’t happy about the change.
In the end, everyone went along in one big group to the ruins.
Since these ruins were where the Sorcery Empire had obtained the knowledge that had allowed them to build up the Sorcery Empire, it was only natural that it was a place that was closely guarded by them.
That ant that this place was actually right in the center of the Sorcery Empire’s capital.
But the exact location was a surprise.
"Why are we still at the magic academy?" I couldn’t help asking in a confused voice when they led us away after we ford our groups.
It turned out that the ruins were actually right in the center of the magic academy.
It was almost as if the magic academy had been built around the ruins.
Perhaps this was why the magic academy was the number one institution in the entire Sorcery Empire. After all, the ruins were the best source of magic knowledge that could be obtained in the entire Sorcery Empire.
If these ruins were here, then they would be able to gain this knowledge whenever they wanted.
Once we arrived at the entrance, they didn’t hesitate to bring us in.
In fact, it even seed like they were very used to opening up the entrance of the ruins. It seed that this was a place that they visited often.

It really didn’t seem like it would lead to any place special.

Once I saw what was there, I couldn’t help being surprised.
After all, this was not sothing that I had seen in the ga before. If there had been sothing like this in the ga, then I would have certainly rembered it.

When was there sothing like this in the ga and how have I never been to this place before?
The more that I thought about it, the more confused I was about the identity of this palace.
If it wasn’t ntioned in the ga, does that an that this place wasn’t important enough to ntion? Or could it be that this was so kind of secret hidden area that no one had discovered before?
Well, the only other possibility was that this place was a new map that was supposed to be added into the ga afterwards, which was why no one had found it before.
But I didn’t rember any announcents about the Sorcery Empire being expanded in my past life.
So I really had no idea what this place was.
Even though this was a large city, it seed that the teachers were still very familiar as they guided us around it without any maps or tools. It seed that they had even morized the layout of this underground city with how familiar they were with this place.
The way that they guided us, it was almost as if they could show us the way around with their eyes blindfolded.
I really didn’t know what to say when I saw them guiding us like this.
But I still had to make the most out of this.
"Can we take a look at the insides of the buildings?"
The students all agreed with when I asked this question.
The teachers also didn’t seem surprised to hear this, so they split into different groups and started leading students into the buildings.
It was just that there wasn’t anything special there either.
