After thinking about it, I finally thought of sothing.
I looked back up at the eldest gno and asked, "Do you have any way of tracking the other gnos?"
The eldest gno was surprised to hear this before he narrowed his eyes to look at . It didn’t seem like he had any trust in with the way that he looked at like this.
But then again, it wasn’t as if I was expecting any trust from him since I had never had any contact with him.
However, the Dwarven King spoke up when he saw the way that the eldest gno looked at .
"This is my brother in law. Anything that you can say to , you can say to him."
The eldest gno looked at the Dwarven King with a surprised and confused look, but the Dwarven King just stared back at him with a serious gaze. It was as if he wouldn’t back down no matter what the eldest gno said.
That caused a strange and conflicted look to appear on the eldest gno’s face, but he chose to accept this in the end.
If it was anyone but the Dwarven King, then the eldest gno wouldn’t have accepted it that easily.
Taking a deep breath, the eldest gno looked at to say, "It’s not as if we don’t have any ways, it’s just that...there’s no way to use them right now. After all, it isn’t as if we can go out there to look for them."
The way that he said this wasn’t in a way that ant that they couldn’t do it, it was just that their current circumstances prevented them from doing anything.
Looking behind the eldest gno, I could see that there were other gnos that were hiding in the cave that were peeking out at us. Even if I couldn’t see them clearly, I could already guess that these were the young and the elderly.
So even if they had a way, they wouldn’t give it to us since the most important thing right now was getting these young and elderly out of this place.
I completely understood where they were coming from, but it was not the best thing that we could do in this situation.
After all, there were clearly more gnos that were like these ones that were trapped in the land that was still filled with corruption. Ti was of the essence for these gnos since there was no way that they would be able to last long surrounded by corruption energy.
It was imperative to send rescue groups as soon as possible if we wanted to save as many people as possible.
But on the other hand, there was no telling if we could even reach them in ti even if we had a way of finding them.
So it was all about balancing saving those that we could and saving as many people as possible.
There was no way that we could do both.
After a long mont of silence, I suddenly asked, "Where was the place where the corruption energy appeared first."
The eldest gno was completely caught off guard when he heard this.
He thought that I would be forced to make a choice because of the pressure that he was putting on , but I just completely ignored this and jumped to a different topic.
Knitting his brows, the eldest gno said, "It isn’t the ti to talk about that. We need to save as many people as we can."
"That is what I’m doing." I responded in a calm voice.
But this calm voice seed to make the eldest gno even angrier based on the look on his face.
That was when the Dwarven King stepped in.
"Just listen to him. He always cos up with solutions that surprise , but he has never been wrong before."
The eldest gno couldn’t help revealing a surprised look when he heard this.
After all, this was very high praise and it was coming from the Dwarven King.
He really couldn’t understand what was so special about this human that the Dwarven King would actually say such things about him.
But because it was the Dwarven King...
In the end, the eldest gno said, "The capital. The first signs of this thing that you call ’corruption energy’ appeared in the capital. Once it appeared, it quickly spread to the surrounding towns and villages. Even a village on the edge like ours wasn’t able to escape...I can’t even imagine what it’s like deeper in."
I just gave a simple nod before a look of thought appeared on my mind.
Then I said, "We’ll be heading to the capital, I’ll need a few of you to guide the way."
The eldest gno looked like he was about to lose his temper again, but I added, "We’ll be splitting up our group. Half of us will be escorting you out of this area and half of us will push on towards the capital."
The eldest gno still deeply knitted his brows when he heard this.
After all, he didn’t think that half of this group would be enough to protect them.
The Dwarven King stepped in again at this point.
"We’ve already created a path of purified land, so half is already more than enough to protect you all."
He turned to look at before saying, "You’re sending more out because you can see that they’re tired and injured from pushing themselves, right?"
A faint smile appeared on my face when I heard this, but I didn’t say anything in response.
Still, that was more than enough of an answer for the Dwarven King.
He too had been worried about this, but now it seed like it was the perfect solution.
The eldest gno didn’t seem like he was convinced this ti even though the Dwarven King spoke.
So I just said, "Co and take a look for yourself. You’ll understand what we an once you see it for yourself."
