"Balance?" I repeated in a confused voice.
Solista didn’t say anything as she looked around at the other gods.
With the way that they looked at each other, it was almost as if they were confirming sothing with each other. It was almost as if they were making sure that they could reveal this information to .
After a while, Solista finally said, "The world can maintain itself through balance. If one side becos greater than the other, then the world will fall out of balance and start to destroy itself. That is why there is a need for the God of Destruction even though their goal is to destroy the world."
"Then you’re saying that you won’t help because you’re afraid of suppressing the God of Destruction too much and throwing the world out of balance?"
None of the gods said anything after I asked this.
I could even see a few of the gods turning away as if they were embarrassed to look in my direction.
But that also proved that I had hit the nail on the head with this statent.
I couldn’t help narrowing my eyes to look at the gods, but they didn’t say anything.
In the end, it was Solista who broke the silence by saying, "Even if we’re gods, we’re bound by the rules of the universe. If we start breaking those rules, then there’s nothing that we can do if the universe suddenly decides that we aren’t needed."
A very strange look appeared on my face when I heard this.
After all, I never expected Solista to say sothing like this.
At the sa ti, I could see that all of the gods had the sa reaction as Solista which showed that they agreed with what she said.
It really was hard to believe that gods would be afraid of sothing like this...just like a human would be afraid of sothing that was out of their control.
Fear really was the right word for this with the way that they acted...
But since they really couldn’t do anything, then there was nothing that I could say.
It wasn’t as if I was soone that would be able to force gods into action.
However, it was as if she could see the disappointnt that I felt as Solista said, "While we aren’t able to offer any help right now, we will be able to offer help as the forces of Destruction beco stronger."
I narrowed my eyes to look at her with doubt.
Seeing the way that I looked at her, Solista said, "Like I said before, it’s all about balance. If they beco stronger, it is only natural that our side will have to beco stronger to balance them out. If they beco stronger, the restrictions on us gods weaken and we’ll be able to help you."
I gave a nod, but I still felt a bit doubtful when I heard this.
Still, it wasn’t as if this promise would change anything.
If the gods felt threatened by the God of Destruction, then they naturally wouldn’t stand by. But until then, I would have to take care of things on my own like I had been doing so far.
There wasn’t much that would change.
It was a good thing that they couldn’t read my mind anymore or else they certainly would have known that I was thinking sothing quite rude.
But even if they couldn’t read my mind...
"I can tell from the look on your face that you’re thinking sothing that is quite rude." Solista said without hiding a single thing.
However, it wasn’t as if I would change the look on my face just because she was pointing it out.
Instead of focusing on this, I asked, "So what do I need to do now."
"Find that fourth Relic of Destruction." Solista said without any hesitation.
I had already been expecting to hear this, but I asked, "Then where is it? You’ve only told the general area, I’m sure that you know more than that."
Solista slowly shook her head before saying, "Not right now. I can’t tell you anything more unless more ti passes."
An ugly expression appeared on my face when I heard this and I turned to look at the other gods.
So of them still looked right at , but there were so that turned away as if they felt that it was too awkward for them to look at .
I narrowed my eyes to look at these gods to see if I could pressure them, but Solista said, "Alright, stop that. We’re on the sa side, there’s no need to do this."
"Is that so?" I said with a snort.
Solista didn’t answer when she heard this and I could see that her shoulders had slumped a bit hearing this.
There was a part of that felt a bit guilty seeing her like this, but I chose to remain tough.
After all, there were just too many things that made it hard for to fully trust the gods...
"Alright, I understand how you feel." It seed like she was about to give so help, but then she said, "Unfortunately, our hands really are tied this ti. There’s nothing that we can do to help without breaking the balance."
I shook my head before saying with a sigh, "I really didn’t know what I was expecting."
Instead of continuing this topic, I just tossed the ball of earth that was holding the Apostle of Destruction before saying, "At the very least, you can keep this sealed for , right? I need all my power and I can’t have things draining my power during future fights on ."
Solista caught it and looked at the ball of earth that I threw for a bit before saying with a slow nod, "Alright, we’ll take care of it."
"I want it alive. There are still other things that I have to ask it." I suddenly said this.
Solista looked at for a bit before saying, "Do you really think that we’re that cruel?"
I just looked back at her without saying anything.
