"Now, now calm down. There’s no need to act like this."
"Right, it’s already too late to break the contract. So you might as well get used to it."
"It is your honour to form a contract with the lord’s representative in this world. You should serve the lord’s representative with all your power."
I wasn’t the one that answered when Sylph said this.
Instead, it was the three Spirit Kings who said this.
Sylph didn’t respond either as if she was sizing up the three of them.
After a mont of silence, she finally asked, "How did you all end up in a contract with the sa person?"
"It’s a long story." Even Oread responded in this way.
I didn’t say anything as I let the three of them convince Sylph.
After all, there was nothing better to convince a Spirit King other than a Spirit King. Only a Spirit King would be recognized as soone that was on the sa level by soone as narcissistic as Sylph.
However, it seed that I did have plenty to surprise her with.
"A demigod, in this day and age? How is that possible?"
Once the matter of being a demigod was brought up, her voice filled with shock.
Ifrit and Undine had reacted in a similar manner when they found out about the divine energy that I possessed. Though in Oread’s case, he was much more interested in Terra’s divine energy that flowed through .
It seed that even for the Spirit Kings, having divine energy was still a big thing.
Then again, divine energy was the power of the gods and it was only the gods that were above the Spirit Kings.
"Regardless of how that’s possible, I hope that ans that you are at least willing to hear what I have to say." Seeing that she was finally seeing in a different light, that was when I suddenly cut into their conversation.
After all, one had to be on the sa level to negotiate with each other.
Now that she recognized as a demigod, it should be easier to talk to her.
Tricking her by acting as her follower would only get so far, so I had to figure out a way to have Sylph follow willingly. It wasn’t as if the contract that I ford with her was a binding one that forced her to do whatever I wanted her to.
Forcefully drawing power from a Spirit King like that was never the best way.
All it would do is create a clash between the Spirit King and the contractor.
The contractor would never be able to use the full power of the Spirit King like that.
Only when there was trust between the two sides would they both be able to show their true powers.
But the first thing that Sylph said was...
"You cheater! How dare you play with my heart like this?"
My lips couldn’t help twitching when I heard this.
After all, she was saying this as if she was my wife and I had actually cheated on her with other won.
Technically this was cheating on her in terms of a spirit contract since I had already ford contracts with other Spirit Kings. It was like a playboy that took different girlfriends at the sa ti.
Though in terms of spirit contracts, this kind of thing was common since there were those that had affinity for different elents in the first place. It was only natural that they would form contracts with different spirits of different elents that suited them.
For Sylph to say sothing like this, it was clear that she was trying to cause trouble for .
Shaking my head, I said with a sigh, "I was honest when I said that I was one of your followers. Not to ntion, I am a king of my own country, so naturally I’ll be able to provide you with plenty of followers."
Sylph’s expression changed when she heard this.
There was a trace of wariness as she looked at , but I looked back at her with sincerity.
Seeing this, Sylph turned to look at the other Spirit Kings.
Undine explained, "He’s not just the king of any country, he’s the king of one of the most powerful countries in the world right now. If he says that he can do sothing like this, there’s no need to doubt him."
Though there were a few things that she left out, what she said was indeed very helpful to so I shot a look of gratitude in her direction.
Sylph’s expression changed again when she heard this.
It was clear that she was slowly being moved by everything that was said.
In the end, she finally said, "As long as you build fabulous statues and commission beautiful paintings of , I suppose that I can lend my power to my follower once in a while."
She was narcissistic and a tsundere, but at least she was willing to cooperate.
In that case...
"Then I’ll be looking forward to working with you in the future."
Sylph gave a simple nod before disappearing without a trace.
The other Spirit Kings couldn’t help shaking their heads when they saw this, but they too disappeared.
Oread didn’t have the sa expression as the other two as it seed like he was about to go lecture her.
For him, I represented Terra, the god that he worshipped.
That ant that if Sylph disrespected , she was also disrespecting the god that he followed.
So it was only natural that he had sothing to say to her.
Ifrit and Undine seed more natural as they seed like they would just say a few things to convince her.
For now, I would leave this matter to the Spirit Kings.
Before leaving this place, there were still so things that I had to do.
But there was a deadline unlike the other places.
After all, the wind that was protecting this place would soon disappear.
