The thing that the God of Wind had snuck into the Mark of God was...
A contract with the Fenrir.
Since the Fenrir was the ssenger of the God of Winds, it ant that there was already a contract that was ford between the Fenrir and the God of Winds. That was how the Fenrir was able to serve as the ssenger of the God of Winds.
Normally this kind of contract wasn’t sothing that could be passed onto others, but gods didn’t really follow rules.
As long as gods wanted to do sothing, they would be able to find a way to do it.
In particular, what the God of Winds did was put the contract that it had ford with the Fenrir into the Mark of God. That ant that whoever had the Mark of God bestowed by the God of Winds would be able to beco the master of the Fenrir.
This was sothing that was quite dangerous since it ant that the Fenrir would be at the rcy of this person, but it wasn’t as if the God of Winds would give their Mark of God to just anyone.
The God of Winds would naturally only give their Mark of God to soone that they deed worthy.
In this case, it was .
Through this Mark of God, I had a contract with the Fenrir forced onto and now it was linked to .
While it was certainly a big thing to be able to form a contract with a legendary beast like the Fenrir, it certainly wasn’t sothing that I wanted forced onto like this. I really didn’t have a say in this matter and had no choice but to accept the Fenrir.
This feeling really was sothing that was hard to describe.
While I was looking at the Fenrir, I revealed a few strange looks.
From this, the Fenrir was able to tell that there was sothing strange about .
"Is sothing wrong? Do you not want ?" When it said this, the Fenrir looked at with the sa puppy dog eyes from before.
I really didn’t know who taught this move to the Fenrir, but it really wasn’t a fair move.
What was I supposed to say when the Fenrir looked at like this?
It really made it feel like I was a cruel hearted owner that was abandoning it.
In the end, all I could say was, "Don’t you find it a bit hard to accept that the master that you served passed you on to like this? Even I can’t help feeling that it’s a bit unfair for you."
The Fenrir simply shook its head before saying, "Of course not. Lord Zephyrus naturally knows what is needed and what is best, so it is my duty to follow his orders."
Then looking at with a look of admiration, it said, "At the sa ti, it’s my honour to serve the Holy Son of the mortal world. There are few ssengers that have this chance, so naturally I am happy that I was chosen."
"Ah, it’s too far gone...It’s clear that this Fenrir is completely corrupted." That was the only thing that I could think when I saw the way that the Fenrir looked at .
This look was just like the look that the people of the Holy Empire had when they looked at .
It seed that this Fenrir was a completely fanatic follower of the gods, so it only believed that the gods would be right. It didn’t matter what the order the gods gave it, it would just follow them to the end.
As such, there was nothing that I could say to convince the Fenrir otherwise.
However, there was sothing else that I wanted to see from the Fenrir.
Since it was a legendary beast and one that was capable of using divine energy as a ssenger of the gods, it should an that this Fenrir was capable of dealing with the corruption energy as well.
That was why I was curious just how much the Fenrir would be capable of.
Even if the God of Winds Zephyrus didn’t give the Mark of God to soone else, it didn’t an that we didn’t get another fighter. If the Fenrir was capable of dealing with strong samples of corruption energy, it would an that it was the sa as Alidus or the saintess.
It would an that there would be more places that we could attack at the sa ti.
When the Fenrir saw the way that I was looking at it, it suddenly turned away and said, "Your majesty is quite handso, but we should think of our positions."
My lips started to twitch the mont that I heard this.
The Fenrir then said, "Not to ntion the age difference between us..."
"You’re a female?" I asked all of a sudden.
"That’s right." The Fenrir said without any hesitation.
I didn’t know what to say when I heard this, but this did explain why the Fenrir had acted the way that it did earlier. But at the sa ti, it ant that I had to give an explanation quickly or else this might be a problem.
"I was just curious what kind of powers you have as a legendary beast. Will you be able to demonstrate it?"
"Of course." The Fenrir suddenly stopped looking away and looked right at .
With the way that it looked at , it was as if it was determined to show just what it was capable of.
For that, we needed sothing else.
We needed a target for the Fenrir to test her power on.
"Did any of you bring a sample of corruption?" I asked the sages from the Sorcery Empire all of a sudden.
They were caught off guard by this, but they also quickly took out samples of corruption energy that we had collected previously.
Since there was a target, all that was left was a field for the test.
"I have a place we can go." The Fenrir said with a determined look in her eyes.
