"Where is this?" Dorothy couldn’t help asking when I had Joan land.
It was only normal for her to be a bit worried when asking this because the place that I had set us down in was a forest in the middle of nowhere.
It really seed like there wasn’t a single thing that was here with how nature stretched out all around us.
Anyone would be worried when landing in a place like this.
But I knew exactly where we were and this was the place that I wanted to go.
There were plenty of trees around that seed to be hiding everything that was in this area, but still I knew that this was the place that I wanted to be. After all, I knew what was hiding in this place.
With a nod, I said, "It’s fine, we’re looking for soone here."
"Who would live in a place like this?" Dorothy couldn’t help asking in a confused voice.
But I didn’t answer as I had Joan shrink and the Fenrir grow.
Once the Fenrir grew to a proper size, I took Dorothy in my arms and we got on the Fenrir’s back.
After getting on the Fenrir’s back, I just pointed in a direction and said, "Go that way."
The Fenrir was the only one that didn’t seem to doubt when I gave these instructions. Both Joan and Dorothy looked confused why I was telling the Fenrir to go deeper into the woods, but the Fenrir followed my orders without a single word.
We continued on like this for a bit, but there was nothing around us at all.
It seed like we were in a completely abandoned place with how few things there were around us.
Dorothy did enjoy it since this was a different kind of view.
She had been trapped in that prison for a long ti, so she had never seen this kind of scenery before.
It seed to entertain her as much as the city did with how she looked around us.
But eventually it seed like she lost interest since there wasn’t much else to see.
Nature eventually did get boring if there was nothing to do.
Not to ntion that Dorothy was still a child in the first place, so it wasn’t as if she would be able to remain focused on the surrounding area for long.
Once she got bored, she looked back at with a confused look and asked, "What are we doing here?"
But once again, I didn’t answer as I kept looking around us like I was looking for sothing specific.
After a while, I finally raised my hand for the Fenrir to stop.
When I did, I got off the Fenrir’s back and went over to one of the trees in front of .
As I was standing in front of this tree, I could see the worried look that Dorothy and Joan were casting in my direction.
I didn’t bla them since a normal person would have thought that I had gone crazy for standing in front of a tree like this. However, that didn’t an that I stopped as I looked carefully at the tree.
After a while, I finally grabbed sothing in front of .
However, to the eyes of a person that couldn’t see it, they would have thought that I was grabbing at thin air.
Dorothy and Joan were among those that couldn’t see through it.
The Fenrir on the other hand had a calm and collected look on her face since she could see what I was grabbing.
After grabbing this thing, I shook it.
"Ting ling."
When this sound rang through the air, it was as if there was sothing that was lifted from around us. It was as if this sound broke through the illusion spell that was there that kept us from seeing the truth.
I wasn’t surprised at all to see this since I already knew that this was here.
Dorothy and Joan on the other hand seed surprised.
Joan was less surprised than Dorothy since she had more experience with things like this, but she was still caught off guard when this happened.
Dorothy was more shocked since she never expected sothing like this.
When Joan ca back to her senses, she looked like she was prepared for a fight.
I raised my hand to stop her since I didn’t plan on fighting the people that were here.
I had co all this way to see these people, so of course I wouldn’t want to fight them.
In fact, there was soone here that I wanted to recruit.
This person was different from the others that I had recruited before because this person had a different set of skills compared to them. Instead of being a fighter, this person was more of a supporter.
We had gathered quite a few fighters already, so we were missing a supporter like this.
Not to ntion that I was hoping that his powers would be able to answer a few questions that had been on my mind for a while now.
After I rang the bell, I put it back to where it had been before and went back to get on the Fenrir’s back.
After sitting down, I didn’t even need to say anything as the Fenrir continued down the path that was revealed. The Fenrir didn’t show any fear at all as she continued down this unknown path that had suddenly appeared.
Dorothy and Joan seed more tense than the Fenrir.
It wasn’t that they didn’t trust , it was just that they didn’t know what to expect.
The one thing that people feared the most was naturally the unknown.
After following this path for a while, we finally arrived at the end of it.
It was a village that was hidden in the middle of the forest.
It really seed like so kind of magical village with the way that it was hidden here.
Though that description technically wasn’t wrong.
