The sll that hit us was the strong scent of dicine that filled the air.
This was a place that was clearly made to experint with dicine.
It didn’t seem like a place that people could live in at all with how much of a ss it was.
Once we were inside, he didn’t even bother treating us as guests.
The first thing that the miracle healer did was turn to look at us as if he was sizing us up before saying, "Which one of you is it?"
I gestured to Dorothy before saying, "It’s her."
As soon as he heard this, it seed like the miracle healer lost interest in .
But eventually, it seed like he lost interest in her as well since it seed like he wasn’t able to find anything while observing Dorothy. It seed like he was angry with , as if I had lied to him about this.
However, I didn’t get angry seeing this.
I knew that the reason that he wasn’t actually able to see it was because he didn’t know what to look for.
That was why I pulled sothing out of my Storage Ring.
The mont that this thing ca out, it seed to catch the miracle healer’s eyes.
It seed like he felt that there was sothing strange about this thing and he wanted to take a closer look, but he restrained himself. It wasn’t because he wanted to be mindful, it was more that he could tell that the thing that I was holding was dangerous.
So instead of approaching and looking at the sample that I had taken out, he went back to prepare sothing.
Only when he was done preparing these things did he wave his hand at as if he was summoning over.
I didn’t say anything as I went over to his lab bench and put the sample down for him before saying, "I should probably open it. You might not be able to open it properly."
The miracle healer seed to think about this before giving a slight nod.
When it ca to his research, he wasn’t that unreasonable.
In fact, his research was the one and only thing that people could use to control him.
I knew this fact from the ga, which was why I didn’t panic even when faced with all of his quirks. I was different from Dorothy who was currently looking at the miracle healer with a very strange look.
After putting down the sample, I used my divine energy to restrain it before opening it up for the miracle healer.
As for what this sample was, it was naturally the corruption energy.
But after thinking about it, I realized that just restraining it alone wouldn’t be enough for the miracle healer to study it. I knew that if he wanted to study it, we had to get it to calm down so he could do what he wanted with it.
That was why I turned to Dorothy and said, "Can you get it to calm down?"
She gave a nod before coming forward to raise her hand towards the corruption energy sample. She didn’t summon a corruption energy monster like she did previously, but it was still enough that the corruption energy seed to stop resisting the divine energy.
Once that was done, I opened up the divine energy circle that I had created so that the miracle healer could do his tests.
But it seed like he was interested in sothing else now.
After seeing the way that Dorothy quelled the corruption energy, he seed to develop an interest in her.
Dorothy didn’t seem to like the way that the miracle healer looked at her, so she ca behind as if she wanted to hide from his gaze.
Once she was behind , it seed like the miracle healer lost interest in her and turned back to the corruption energy. But I could tell from the way that he looked over from ti to ti that this wasn’t the case.
It seed like he recognized that this corruption energy was connected to Dorothy in so way.
So if he wanted to know about Dorothy’s condition, he had to figure out what this corruption energy was first.
With the different tools that he gathered, it didn’t take long for him to finish what he was doing.
"I have no idea what this is." He said as if he wasn’t bothered by what he was saying.
When I heard him say this, a bitter smile crept onto my face before I said, "Then did you find anything about it?"
"Nope." He said without any hesitation, but he still turned to look at Dorothy who had peeked her head out to see what happened. But the mont that she saw him turning to look at her, she imdiately hid behind once more.
The miracle healer didn’t seem to mind that Dorothy was hiding from him like this as he still looked at her as if he was interested in her.
"So what did you find then?" I asked to draw his attention back to .
"It’s connected to her in so way."
Another bitter smile appeared on my face when I heard this.
This was just stating the obvious since I had already shown him Dorothy quelling the corruption energy. It was quite clear that Dorothy was related to the corruption energy in so way because of this.
After a pause, the miracle healer muttered as if he was talking to himself, "There’s sothing about this that’s almost as if it has fused with her."
"Yes, she grew up in an environnt that was filled with this energy. So it was only natural that this energy would have seeped into her body and eventually fused with her. That’s why we ca to see you since we wanted to see if you could get this energy out of her." I explained after hearing this.
But the miracle healer shook his head and said, "It’s different. It’s not fused with her in a way that cos from her absorbing it afterwards, it seems to be a part of her, almost as if it cos from her."
