"Your majesty, we have an ergency."
We had been in the middle of testing Dorothy’s new powers when a ssenger suddenly ca into the arena.
I couldn’t help looking at him with a brow raised since I didn’t think that there would be anything that would be this important, but it was clear that this wasn’t a simple matter.
"What is it?" I asked in a stern voice in the end.
"There’s an urgent ssage from the rman Empire. It seems like there’s so kind of epidemic that is happening there."
"Epidemic?" I repeated in a confused voice before saying, "If there’s an epidemic, is there anything that I can do for them?"
The ssenger revealed an awkward look when he heard this, but he still relayed the ssage that he was supposed to relay.
"It’s not an epidemic that is affecting the rmaids, but rather the people that co from that place." When the ssenger said ’that place’, it seed like there was a trace of confusion that ca over his face.
But the mont that I heard him ntion ’that place’, I imdiately understood what was happening.
After all, there was only one place that they could be referring to.
It was just why was this happening all of a sudden?
It really didn’t make sense that this would suddenly happen to the people that ca from that place.
Was it because of stress, was it because of their inability to adapt to the new environnt, or was it completely sothing else?
Could it be that it was sothing that was artificial?
There were a few of the ministers that didn’t seem like they wanted to accept those other races into the rman Empire, even if it was temporarily on an exchange like this.
After all, this was sothing that trod on the very prestige of the rman Empire.
For these ministers that were loyal to the rman Empire, it was only natural that they would want to take care of this. But the problem was that they weren’t able to do anything to these mbers of the other races since they had co as official guests.
If they were to do sothing, then it would beco a much bigger problem.
However, if they were to die on their own because of ’illness’, then it would be much easier for them.
So it would make sense if they were to poison them and make it look like an illness.
In the end, I tossed all of these thoughts out of my mind since there was nothing to gain from thinking about all of this.
There were just too many possibilities and I wasn’t helping anyone by going through all of these different possibilities. The only thing that I could do now was head to the rman Empire as soon as possible and see what was happening.
Only by being there in person would I be able to pinpoint it down to a single possibility.
Though I knew that the main reason that they had called was because of my connection to the kraken who was the god’s ssenger. As well, this was most likely related to Aestum who had protected these people.
The last ti that I had t Aestum, I had felt that there was sothing off about the way that both they and Aquaron had acted. It was as if they had been hiding so kind of secret from .
I wouldn’t be surprised if this ’epidemic’ was related to that as well.
"Is there a delegation to bring to the rman Empire?" I asked the ssenger who quickly nodded to confirm this.
It was only expected that the rman Empire would send a delegation since there was no way that was faster than going underwater to reach the rman Empire.
Since I was just a human, this wasn’t sothing that I could achieve.
I needed the help of rmaids to reach the rman Empire as soon as possible.
But I didn’t follow the ssenger right away as I turned to look at Rose.
She hadn’t said anything this entire ti, but the look in her eyes made it very clear what she was thinking.
Even so, she said, "Go and take care of it. Make sure that Ariel is safe."
When I had left the rman Empire, I had left Ariel there to be with her parents since I had left early. Even now, she was still in the rman Empire and I had been planning to pick her up later to give her so ti to spend with her parents.
Though now that this was happening, it seed that I had to go and pick her up sooner.
Not only that, I had to do what I could to protect her.
I gave a simple and firm nod in response to this, but Rose wasn’t the only one that I had to say sothing to.
I turned to look at Dorothy and the qilin that were looking at .
Seeing that I turned to look at them, the two of them suddenly revealed determined expressions before saying in unison, "We’ll be alright."
With the two of them making this connection, it really seed like they had beco much closer.
When I looked at them like this, I couldn’t help thinking of the contract that I had made with the god’s ssengers.
Strictly speaking, the qilin was supposed to be a ssenger for even if I wasn’t a god...So the connection that was between us wasn’t the sa. The connection that was between us was like the one that the gods and their ssengers had.
Which ant that the qilin was still able to form a contract with soone that he deed worthy.
In this case, that could be considered Dorothy...
But there was no ti to think about that since there was sothing more pressing to take care of.
I gave a wave to everyone before heading out with the ssenger who led to the group of rmaids waiting for .
