"It's a long story." Undine said with a sigh in the end.
I looked at Undine with the sa brow raised as I waited for it to explain, but it didn't seem like Undine was about to say anything.
The way that Undine looked at the water elental ancestors, it really looked like it wanted to bury itself in a hole sowhere. Even though that really wouldn't work since we were surrounded by water like this.
After a mont of silence, Undine went forward to leave the water bubble.
Even though it left the water bubble, the bubble itself didn't seem affected at all as it didn't even tremble in this water pressure.
After leaving the water bubble, Undine went over to the five water elental ancestors who actually shrunk down to match Undine's size.
Then in one swift move, Undine raised a hand to slap the heads of all of these water elental ancestors. It was as if Undine didn't have a single trace of fear as it did this, even though we were surrounded by water elentals like this.
The funny thing was that none of the water elentals got angry.
None of the water elentals around us seed to have any reaction to the fact that their ancestors had been slapped like this.
The strangest thing was that the water elental ancestors were even smiling as if they were enjoying being slapped by Undine like this.
It really didn't suit the image of them as ancestors of these water elentals, but none of the water elentals really seed to care about this. In fact, it even seed like the water elentals were happy for their ancestors with how they looked at them.
It really was a strange scene seeing them all act like this.
The only one that didn't seem to be playing along was Undine who was genuinely angry with them.
"Why can't you just forget about the past already? You already know the truth, so there's no need for you to act like this." Undine said as if it was done with these water elental ancestors.
But none of the water elental ancestors seed to care about what Undine said.
In fact, it was as if they were offended by this as they said, "No matter what, you are our princess."
The serious way that they said this was as if they wouldn't change their minds no matter what was said.
That just made even more confused on why they were acting this way.
In the end, there was one thing that I had confird.
There was a deep relationship between the water elental ancestors and Undine. It was the kind of relationship that had been built over a long period of ti.
It was similar to the way that Lupus had acted around the wind elental ancestor.
Though from the way that they were acting, it seed that this relationship was more one sided compared to that one. The water elental ancestors were clearly more enthusiastic about this than Undine.
Undine looked like it was done with the water elental ancestors, so it ca back to the water bubble and said, "This is my current contractor. He's here to help you with your problems."
That was when the water elentals finally noticed .
During this entire ti, they had only focused on Undine alone and they had ignored . With how they acted, it was as if I just simply didn't exist when Undine was here.
However, now that Undine had introduced , they imdiately took note of .
It was just that the way that they treated showed that they were only taking notice for one reason.
"So you're the current contractor of our princess?"
Though they didn't say it in a hostile tone, it wasn't hard to hear what they were implying. At the sa ti, the water elental ancestors seed to make themselves a bit bigger as they approached the water bubble.
It was as if they were trying to put pressure on with the way that they increased their size.
It was as if they were saying that they could crush this water bubble at any mont.
This certainly was a different experience from how I've been treated by any of the other elentals. Though it wasn't as if this was a bad thing since it was a fresh feeling compared to how it was with the other elentals.
It was even a bit funny seeing the water elental ancestors acting this way.
After all, the only thing that they earned from acting this way was another smack to the head.
It seed like they didn't care that they were being hit by Undine as they continued looking at . It seed like they wanted to make sure that everything was safe for Undine seeing as I was their contractor.
But once again, this was strange since this wasn't how the relationship between elentals and spirits should have been.
Undine just said with a sigh, "Back up and let talk to him."
The water elental ancestors seed to hesitate a bit when they heard this before turning around to give one last look. The way that they looked at was very obvious, they were clearly trying to pressure with their gaze once more.
Or it was even better to say that they were threatening .
"If you do anything to our princess…"
They didn't have to say this, I could see it from the way that the water swirled around my water bubble.
But in the end, they still backed down since Undine chased them away.
After chasing them away, Undine ca back into the water bubble and said, "So as you can see, they get a bit protective…"
That was an understatent, but I didn't say anything as I waited for Undine to explain still.
"It began a long ti ago. Though it's better to say that they were tricked as kids, which is why they're acting this way."
