Angela took this chance to move forward towards the crib.
This ti, it didn’t seem like the small dragon was afraid of her approaching.
With the way that the small dragon looked at Angela, it seed like it recognized her. Not only that, it even seed like the small dragon had a good feeling towards her, as if it was close to her.
Was this because this small dragon ca from Arthur, our son?
Though it didn’t seem like Angela cared about the small dragon when she ca over to the crib.
The only thing that she seed to care about was Arthur who was still napping.
Once she was beside the crib, she looked over him carefully to make sure that there was nothing wrong with him. After making sure that he was alright, that was when she finally paid attention to the small dragon.
The small dragon didn’t make a big deal out of this as it silently waited for Angela to finish what she was doing.
When she was done, it looked up at her as if it was expecting praise which confused her at first.
"It’s like a child that’s asking for praise from its parents." I said from the side.
Angela’s expression slowly changed to one of understanding when she heard this, though there was still a strange look in her eyes as she looked at the small dragon.
After all, it wasn’t as if she wanted to consider this small dragon her child...
It was better to say that this small dragon was just a part of her child, a manifestation of her child’s power. Even then, it was hard for her to really form a connection to this small dragon since it was her first ti eting.
Though it was clear that this small dragon felt a connection to the two of us with how it looked at us.
Eventually, she patted the small dragon on the back of the head like I did to praise it.
The small dragon looked very happy to be treated this way, just like how a child would celebrate praise from their parents. It really seed like this small dragon was treating the two of us as its parents.
Since it seed like there was no hostility from the small dragon and it didn’t seem like there was any harm caused to Arthur, it could be said that the situation was stable.
But there was still one thought that was on everyone’s mind.
"What about the barrier around the capital?"
Though it looked like everyone wanted to ask about that golden barrier, it wasn’t as if this was sothing that was easy to bring up. It wasn’t as if the small dragon would answer that easily if any of them were to ask about this.
Which was why there were many gazes that were cast in my direction.
I knew that they were all waiting for to make a move.
They all wanted to ask the small dragon about this.
But before I could ask this question, there was soone that woke up.
It seed that eventually they couldn’t ignore all of us that had co into this room and woke up because of the noise. The mont that he woke up, the first thing that he did was look around until finally he turned to look at us.
Angela looked like she wanted to go forward to pick Arthur up, but Arthur actually ignored her.
It had seed like he was looking at us at first, but in reality he was looking at the small dragon.
The small dragon also reacted to Arthur waking up and went over to his side before jumping into his arms.
The scene of the two of them like this was almost calming in a way, but it wasn’t the best ti for this considering the situation that was happening outside.
So in the end, I finally asked, "Are you controlling the barrier outside?"
The small dragon turned to look at along with Arthur.
After the two of them looked at each for a bit, with Arthur looking at the small dragon as if he was giving it permission, that was when the small dragon finally nodded.
At least it seed like we were able to communicate with the small dragon as it understood my words, but it wasn’t as if that was enough.
After thinking about it, I asked, "How much can you do with it? Also, how long will it last?"
The small dragon tilted its head this ti, but it wasn’t because it was confused. Rather, it looked like it was thinking about this, as if it had never thought about this question before.
After a while, the small dragon finally shook its head.
It wasn’t saying that it wasn’t able to do anything, it was just saying that it didn’t really know what its limits were.
Thinking about it, it made sense that this was the case.
This golden dragon had been born along with Arthur, so it was only normal that it would be acting this way. It was basically a child that didn’t know what it was capable of, it would take so ti before it could learn all of that.
"Then can you show what you can do?" Understanding the personality of the small dragon, I talked to it in a different way.
The mont that the small dragon heard this, its eyes imdiately lit up.
However, it did turn back to look at Arthur once more as if it was asking for permission.
Arthur didn’t hesitate to give it a nod and even a smile to encourage it to do its best.
The two of them seed quite close already, even though we had never really seen them interacting.
Though with the bond between them, it wouldn’t be strange if there was so secret interaction between them that we didn’t know about.
Once the small dragon received this confirmation, it went over to the window.
Once it was there, there was this bright flash of golden light that ca from outside.
