There was no sensation at all when we walked through the portal.
I thought that there would be so kind of distorted feeling that ca from walking through the portal, but there really was no sensation at all.
"As expected of a portal created by an advanced ancient civilization."
I had no choice but to admit that after walking through.
After taking a few steps, we were on the other side of the portal. However, after coming out on the other side of the portal...
"Where are we? Where is this?"
It wasn’t a place that we recognized at all.
This was a place that seed to be devoid of anything at all with how empty it was. The only thing that seed to be around us was sand and nothing else.
When I turned around, I could still see the faint traces of the portal that we had walked through. However, I could also see that those faint traces were slowly disappearing as it seed like the portal was about to close behind us.
It was just that even if I wanted to do sothing, it wasn’t as if I would be able to do anything since it was closing much faster than we could act.
Even if we were to turn around now, the portal would be gone by the ti that we went back into it.
So I turned back around and started scanning the area once more.
Since we were here, the only thing that we could do was find any signs of civilization. Instead of thinking that Solista just dumped us in the middle of nowhere, it was more productive to try and find our way out of this place.
It was Lupus that actually did it in the end.
"I can sll civilization."
Even though my sense of sll had gotten better after I received the God of Creation’s inheritance, it seed like I still couldn’t compare in terms of sll to Lupus.
But then again, I was trying to compare myself to a wolf that was famous for their sense of sll.
Not to ntion that Lupus wasn’t just any wolf.
To compare myself to a fenrir that was a legendary beast really wasn’t doing justice to myself.
Since Lupus said that she found signs of civilization, there was no ti to waste as I got on her back and had her guide the way.
With the speed that she possessed, it didn’t take long before I was able to see what she was talking about. This was a city that was in the middle of the desert and judging by the size of the city, it seed like quite the large city.
Only we could also see that there weren’t many people that were going in and out of the city. Even though it should have been a prosperous city based on its size, it really didn’t seem that way with how few people there were.
"Is that a good or bad sign?" I couldn’t help muttering under my breath when I saw this.
Since I didn’t want to scare the people that lived in this place, I had Lupus change her size.
When we approached, I saw that the guards were completely tense as if they were afraid that sothing would happen. It wasn’t that they were on guard against , it was as if they were on guard in general against sothing that couldn’t be seen.
It was as if there was so kind of general threat that they were feeling.
The mont that we approached, they imdiately raised their weapons to point at us.
"Stop and identify yourself." The leader of these guards said, but he didn’t seem to dare approach.
The way that they acted was as if they were cautious against anything that ca from outside the city.
"We’re just simple travelers that got lost in the desert, nothing more." I said while raising my hands.
Though it didn’t help our case that I had a cloak that was completely covering up.
I had used it to hide from the heat of the sun, but now it seed to have backfired on .
After silently staring at for a while, the leader of the guards finally turned around as if he was getting sothing. When he turned back, I was surprised to find that he was holding one of the mass produced weapons that I had made.
There was a part of that was relieved since it ant that I was back on the continent if he was holding one of these weapons.
However, there was a part of that was also worried about the fact that he was taking this out.
When he did this, it made it very obvious what they were on guard against.
Thinking back to what happened in the Kite Kingdom, it wasn’t hard to guess what the current situation of the continent was.
I didn’t do anything as I waited for the leader of the guards to scan with that weapon.
It was just that the reaction that ca from the weapon wasn’t one that the guards had expected.
"This isn’t the normal reaction to corruption energy, but it is a reaction."
"But this thing doesn’t react to normal people at all, it doesn’t even react to those with relics."
"Then the only thing that it could react to..."
The expressions on the faces of the guards slowly changed as if they realized sothing.
I didn’t say anything since I knew that this was a good reaction for .
"Pull down your hood."
When the leader of the guards said this, I didn’t hesitate to pull down my hood to reveal my face.
Looks of shock appeared on all of their faces when they saw before the leader of the guards said, "It’s you...but everyone knows that you disappeared in the battle..."
"Yes, but I’ve co back and right now I need information before I can decide what I need to do."
