After making sure that all of the roots had been cut out, I turned to one of the elves and said, "Can you cast healing magic on him? Make sure to close up the wounds."

Cecilia imdiately wanted to say sothing, but I cut her off by saying, "Just gather the mushroom corpses and place them in a boundary around us. It'll stop the monsters from coming over."
It had taken a long ti to cure all of them and during this ti, it wasn't as if monsters would stop attacking us. So there were monsters that charged at our line this whole ti and the others had been pushing them back.
During this, I had noticed that the monsters that approached us seed to avoid the corpses of the mushroom monsters on the ground.
It was as if they were afraid of them.
Cecilia looked at with a doubtful look, but as if to prove my point, there were several monsters that suddenly ca over.

The adventurers looked like they didn't want to do it, but when Cecilia wanted sothing done, they only had a single choice.
So the adventurers could only grumble a bit before picking up the mushroom monster corpses and bringing them forward. The way that they held the corpses made it clear that they were afraid of being infected by touching these corpses, but that couldn't be blad on them.
In the end, they were able to bring the mushroom monster corpses forward to form a line in front of the slis.
